  1. Hi if the car is a late 19 that would be the correct grade of oil to use, they started that with the later engines as its something to do with the emissions and the fact that the later engines run a wet belt for the oil pump drive. Steve.

  2. Don’t worry about your headlamps Kristian, until you have had the car inspected by a trusted garage. I think you will understand it would only be possible for anyone on here to simply guess the cause, without examining the car. Personally, I wouldn’t be using it until it has been inspected. Kind regards, Gareth.

  3. Thanks Stuart, I would suggest you get the car into a trusted garage without delay - having topped up the coolant to fill the reservoir to get it there, and stopping regularly to carefully top it up. Take extreme care when removing the cap, when the system is hot, since it will be under pressure - use a heavy rag to put over the cap and to protect your hand. Apologies if you already know that. Kind regards, Gareth.

  5. As you've had it a week and if bought from a dealer then I'd recommend getting it back to them asap. As you are entitled to a full refund or for them to repair the vehicle FOC in the first 30 days of purchase.

  8. Thanks Alex, You just won’t go wrong then using VAG’s Quantum Longlife 3 5w/30. I think it may well be on Amazon as well now, but certainly available from a few EBay sellers. What make filter was you thinking of using Alex? Kind regards, Gareth.

  9. Hi All, As most don't follow up on posts & its been a few months since swapping my front discs, I thought I'd do the right thing & give an honest update. The relatively cheap Audura discs & pads from Europarts, that I fitted, are very performing very well with absolutely no issues, no brake judder & they stop the car exactly as they should. I would recommend this particular brand especially if one is on a budget.

  10. I'd be getting this to a garage asap, and I wouldn't be starting it up unless it's being inspected by a garage. It needs a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up at the very least.

  11. Yes they were very good, it would have been £221.40 less if he would have had the old skirt repaired but decided on a new one. hopefully now Greg that will be it, he now takes a much wider line going through the gateposts which too be fair are quite narrow.
