  1. Two words I'm afraid Gareth, not one, and it's definitely not an Americanism. It's odd how simple slips become ingrained. For example I used to be able to spell accomodate without a thought, but now I have to look it up every time because I double the "m", single the "c", or substitute an "a" for an "o" or various permutations of the three. 2. I can easily fit 52 and 56cm road bikes without removing wheels in the boot with the seats laid down. It sometimes takes a bit of jiggling to free handlebars from wheels but I lay them top to tail - handlebars facing front on the bottom bike.

  3. Hi all, It quite disheartening to see more “loose bolts” and Audi continuing to refuse taking any responsibility or to even attempt to recall 2016-2017 Audi A3s and also the Q3 by the looks of it. From my experience, I was told this was a wear and tear issue but that it wasn’t my fault either? I was without a car for about a week and they charged me £800 including diagnostic fees etc. I stupidly paid this as I desperately needed my car back. I had said to Audi and questioned if there was ever any recall and they had simply told me there was no recall for 16-17 models and this was just a one off thing that can happen. But then I found this page and it was clearly an ongoing issue for many others. I decided against pursuing this further as I didn’t seem to get anywhere with my local dealer. After this experience I haven’t taken my car back to Audi for repairs, only for my MOT’s. I would just like to add that I am very glad no one has been dangerously injured or worse due to this problem. Thanks Sophie

  4. Cheers - I’m thinking that’s what I’ll do. Perhaps not mention that the previous dealership said it was normal

  5. Thanks Tony, Sorry, you did say Direct Line wouldn’t insure you. Direct Line Group, include Churchill, Darwin, Priviledge, Green Flag etc. The real time true cost of environmentally clean electric vehicles hey? Pardon my ignorance Tony, but I’m totally ill equipped to know what you would now have to pay for one of these in what I understand ( correctly/incorrectly?) is a falling market in the price of EVs. Kind regards, Gareth.

  6. Thanks for your replies. I have got a better quote from Admiral now at £1660.52. which I will probably go for. I will have a look at Darwin though Magnet. Tony
