  2. UPDATE: Timeline (Within 2 weeks since dropping the car) I have some great news to share with everyone. With the help of a couple troopers @Mark2 and @MikeyW Both member have been more then helpful by providing me details which I requested. I built up a couple cases related to RS6's which was outside their 3 years manufacture warranty as mine also is 3 months out and the dealership tried to play that card! Little persistent with Audi UK explaining that the 48V system has a critical flaw and the risk it can cause with it failing is detrimental. Audi UK not taking liability for replacement on the failed alternator which is part of the drivetrain is out of the question and must be pursued out of principle. My dealer initially did not agree with the warranty claim and told me: 1: The part number on your alternator is not covered 2: Your car 3 year warranty is expired Audi UK will not cover 3: Your car has modifications so any warranty is voided (They are wheels and exhaust) 4: Your car is not covered by the 7year drivetrain warranty 5: Audi will not cover it under goodwill After a meeting with the service manager he ultimately agreed that Audi UK should compensate 100% on this and has put this forward to them. I compiled a list of supporting evidence for the local dealer as proof of a major problem with the alternator: 1: Copy of Audi US letter to customers of the 7 year drivetrain warranty extension 2: Copy of the Audi Technical Information related to the failed 48V Alternator 3: Gov.UK Audi alternator recall campaigns related to other model 4: List of forum threads highlighting the 48V alternator failing with same characteristics when fail 5: 2 cases including customer name/ reg/ dealer that was successfully claimed through the 7 year drivetrain warranty when vehicles outside the original 3 year manufacture warranty – Thanks again @Mark2 @MikeyW With point 5 its check-mate for Audi UK to deny anything but to accept liability. After emailing point 5 detail to my dealer yesterday I got the answer we want today: Email from my local Audi dealer: "Good morning Thanks for the extra information. Nigel has now managed to get the repair covered for you so there's nothing for you to pay! Parts were ordered yesterday and have arrived with us today; vehicle will be going into the workshop later today for the repairs to be started and we will be looking at some point next week for it to be completed. I'm hoping I will have a better understanding of the completion day by tomorrow so ill be in touch then. Many thanks. Kind regards" Anyone with failed alternator outside their original manufacture warranty and getting the walk about please DM and I can send you over passed successful claims for you to give to your dealer for them to use against Audi UK to get approval or contact the following dealers which me and other users on this forum have used. Dealer: Listers in Stratford on Avon. Contact: Paul Newman Dealer: Bath Audi. Contact: Simon Gray Dealer: Cheltenham Audi. Contact: Nigel Jacob Great work team! 😀

  4. I have installed a set of heated seats in my Allroad, so now have these for sale. A full set of Audi A6 C7 Comfort memory seats, front and (split fold) rear seats , includes 4 door cards, rear side bolsters and front centre armrest from 2015 Allroad. Front Seats have Fully electric adjustment for lumbar support, extendable Seat squab and the Seat squab and backrest side bolsters. The front seats came with the rear entertainment package (which I never used as the brackets didn’t come with the car), one display I know is damaged and there is additional wiring in the car too. Other display seemed to work ok when I plugged them both in out of curiosity.. Note - Front seats & rear side bolsters have air bags. Colour is a light cream, Audi call it Atlas Beige. £550 or nearest sensible offer! Available from Weston-super-Mare (M5 - J21) Cheers all
