  1. Being an eternal cynic I'd say the reason is that it will cost the company money, and Audi, like all commercial companies, exists to make money. In the long term it may damage Audi's reputation, but reputation is not an entry on the company's balance sheet.

  2. I had a long chat with Post Sales person at Audi yesterday and mine is booked in for 5th August. It would have been this week but I'm busy and need the car this week. I think they're keen because I haven't yet submitted my Purchase Questionnaire, and I said i might have to mark them down a bit in places because I'm not completely satisfied with my purchase.

  3. Going to try my luck - I am booked in at the dealer on the 22nd August for a diagnostic on the MMI system. We will see.

  4. Hi the parking sensors are worked from the sensor on the gearbox switch when you select reverse, chances are its knackered, easy way to check is ignition on position 2 select reverse and get round the back to check the reversing lights are on, if they are its a long and fiddly check of the wiring to find the break. 5. Graeme, so just to be clear, Radio stations and settings still cleared and reverted to defaults every day or sometimes same day, as before? Interesting, because without a Key user there is no need for MMI to connect to the network and check remote user access rights. Which suggests the bug is not related to LTE signal levels. Or the code is really sloppy and goes through it anyway, which wouldn't surprise me. Oh well, I'm probably overthinking it ...

  6. We can but try. Post your questions, preferably one at a time, in the relevent forum section and see who responds.

  7. What did they say was the root cause of your previous MMI issues, out of interest?

  8. I'm following up to my own post in case anybody searches for it & needs some answers & it's polite IMO. Yet again my drive/serpentine/fan belt had an issue. It jumped off this time due to a badly failed tensioner. I took it back to my local VAG indy, Chris Umpleby, & he confirmed the tensioner had a fit & fell apart. It half chewed & subsequently threw the belt. He also diagnosed a clutch pulley on the alternator was bad. Anyway, all this was replaced & it made me wonder if the bad tensioner & the bad pulley could have an affect on the AC compressor & how consistently it works. If the belt pressure alternates from having slow to a normal amount of tension due to failed components, would the AC be hit & miss? Which in all honesty, it has been hit & miss recently. I only got the car back today & I haven't had the AC on. Hopefully the new belt, tensioner & clutch pulley will contribute to making the AC work efficiently. There is refigerent in the system because it does blow cold but I noticed when on a very recent long journey at higher speeds the AC did not blow as cold as expected. I suspect the belt was slipping causing the compressor to not engage properly?? I'll post again after I drive it for a prolonged period.
