  1. Update: Day 2 with Bolton Audi. Call on Friday last week to say they needed car longer to get a serial number from the alternator (not convinced of this). No call today so rang them up, no fault codes for the alternator on the car (despite umpteen other warnings DC/DC inverter being one of many saying "inadequate performance" in VAGCOM). Asked me if I wanted to come and pick car up, errrr no thanks it has yellow lights saying bring in to workshop due to electrical fault, "what would you normally do to clear all the errors and fix the car"? Unfortunately Audi UK want specific fault codes and unfortunately (my lesson learned), I cleared the codes the first time the warning came up, specific code first time around in VAGCOM was per below. Now no fault code on starter generator, so Audi UK won't replace. Anyway, going to test on the road tomorrow as I said I don't want it back until fixed..... no doubt they will break down somewhere and have to tow it back in *sigh*. Wait and see what tomorrow brings!   2. just cleaned the 6 prongs on the accelerator pedal.(last pic)undo x3 8mm bolts remove the cover.one of the bolts is where the fuses are on the right side of the dash.removed x1 27mm torx bolt(pic 3) from the top of the pedal to free it.here are pics in case anyone needs a part no.i(pic 5) its definately improved acceleration more(90%)...

  3. Well it's been a couple of weeks since fitting a new AC pressure sensor. I don't think it was the issue, whilst we haven't had much of a summer in West Yorkshire the AC still does not blow constantly cold air. I think it may have not been evacuated properly at the last regas. This was done through Groupon at ATS in Cleckheaton. It may be that it was done too quickly or not correctly & not enough gas was put back in. I'm gonna try find a specialist AC service mechanic to see if it can be looked at properly. I'll report back.

  7. Hello Granola, ‘….pointless piece of extra weight’. If you are talking the moulded plastic cover, then removing it is likely to reduce the overall weight by about the same as not carrying half a cup of coffee in the cup holder. Kind regards, Gareth.
