  1. A new brake pad wear sensor cable should always be fitted when replacing the pads, if not, it could cause a bad connection where the end of the cable is connected to the brake pad, I have come across this problem in the past, worth a check. Brian.

  2. Hi Nick, In the end I bought some double sided tape and placed this on the inside of the trim, and then managed to hook the trim back into place with the help of the tape. It's been over a year and they have not come off once, although they do not look as flush as they once were. Lesson learned here! If you're thinking about wrapping the chrome, I'd advise leaving the trim on the car and wrapping them this way, or paying a body shop to do this for you.

  5. Thank you, Stevey and Clifford - what a difference from the Audi main dealer! My first really good Audi encounter; thank you both very much! (And it is a smart charger)

  7. Charge away Duncan, providing it is a smart charger. Some can be set according to the type of battery: plain wet cell, or glass mat etc. The old fashioned chargers that do not cut off are unwise for long term use.
