  1. Try cleaning the rear drain hoses under the flaps for the hood, they block up and don’t let the water drain away. You should see the water run out under the car. They are quite difficult to get too, but once clear it should help, if not solve the issue. I have the same issue on my TT cleared the drains which has helped and now the drivers side is dry but still having issue with passenger side even though drain is clear. Not sure what try next. Any further remedies or issues would be greatly appreciated

  2. Well I managed to get a new headlamp from Euro parts and there was 20% sale on last weekend. Was £415. TYC brand. Carried out the job today, all went well reused the bulbs and the xenon d5s bulb. The hardest bits were the indicator bulb which just wouldn’t come out and the fog lamp was mega tight. The new connector looked nothing like the old one, new one far less bulky but fitted eventually. Put all back together and to my surprise it all worked !! am dead chuffed with myself

  3. Hi Patrick, I still have them, but - if you read the thread - I can't tell if they are for an Audi 100 or an A6. When I bought them, I'm pretty sure the chap said they came off an Audi 100, but he also told me that they would fit either model. Having checked part numbers with Audi, they are not interchangeable, and I have no way of telling which car they will fit... Mike

  6. Hi yes that was common practice pre floating callipers when you were replacing pads in fixed callipers I.E. the pads slotted in to the calliper of which the only moving part was the main piston and the pads, these suffered with brake bind and uneven pad wear, the advent of floating callipers this was virtually eradicated as there was more vertical and lateral movement for both calliper and pads to allow for dirt and corrosion inside the calliper, therefore the pads will always release, I have found through experience copper grease can also affect the performance of speed sensors, therefore I only use silicone grease on the pins and Ceratec on the pad runners as both the products have no conductivity. 7. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones.
