  1. Always worth inspecting the wiring in the flexible harness section between body and tailgate/boot. Wires are prone to fraction at this point. Perhaps you could let us know if that is the culprit or can be eliminated. Kind regards, Gareth.

  2. I purchased a new axle for my '03 A6 1.9tdi last week through EBay from Proauto EU. My mechanic said it was a bit of a faff to fit as some measurements were a little off, but he got there on his own. He's a very conscientious sort of guy too so he wouldn't have bodged it. Here's the link if anyone's interested, Axle Beam FORTUNE LINE FZB126 for AUDI A6 C5 (4B2) 2.0 2001-2005 | eBay It came as described and on time but be aware you will get stung for another £60 or so in import duty when it hits Customs as it ships from Poland. Back in for MOT tomorrow so if anyone's thinking of getting one I'll update this tomorrow and let you know if it's acceptable to the Ministry of Transport. Hope this helps, I would've been scrapping my car if I hadn't found it. Dave

  3. Thanks for the tip re LLL parts. I used that and managed to find the same part number that Mark posted. Now I just need to find a reasonably priced mirror. In other news had a CVT gearbox service today and it drives so much better. Thanks for all the help. Russ

  7. If it's going towards the gearbox then it could be the gearbox oil cooler line - I had a 3l V6 touareg which developed a leak on the high pressure line due to different metals eroding each other. Try googling audi a6 automatic gearbox oil cooler line - I think 2007 was a C6

  8. Hey crew, My lights don't work when I have my fog lights off but for some reason they work when my fog lights are on. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it just a wiring issue or something bigger?

  9. Hi if you can post a picture that would help rather than trying to guess which one from a multitude of coolant pipes in that area. Steve.

  10. HI Dary, I’ve just changed the from and rear pads on my RS4 B9.5. The videos for the S4 you have found online can be referenced for your model mate. I used the same and can confirm the S4 replacement procedure is exactly the same. I went for the Brembo pads rather than OEM, feel pretty good so far. if you are ordering replacement pads, make sure you get the accessories kit, it contains new clips etc. The old clips on my pads came out in pieces and they will need replaced. I also purchased new pad wear sensors. One sensor for each axle. Im sure you have this in hand but just a reminder you will need an OBD2 to retract the rear handbrake before replacing the rear disc and pads. Edit, sorry, just realised you posted this 8 months ago! Im new to the forum but lesson learned, check the dates before replying. 🙂
