  2. Hi the only way to find out is to get the car scanned for faults, this will give you a ballpark as to where the problem is, also it could be the throttle body or an injector or an airleak. Steve.

  3. I know nothing about Chip Express or how it works, but it seems to me that if such a cheap magical solution really does all it claims, then car makers around the world would be fitting them as standard at their factories. No, this sounds like snake oil designed to deceive the naive, the gullible, and the innocent.

  4. So far so good! The full Factory defaults reset looks to have done the trick.🤞 I am still running with just a Local User as described on my previous posts. So no Key User logged into the Car. I was a bit suspicious of doing the Key User at first, just wanted to get the car MMI stable. Tomorrow I will try logging in the Key User and switching to it. If it causes problems, at least I know I can Full Reset again and get to all good with a Local User!

  5. Hi sounds as though the PCV valve might have ruptured its designed to only pass water and oil vapour and when it wont function correctly it will suck out engine oil and also introduce more air via the filler cap that would account for the rough idle, also check the injector seals in the rocker cover if they are oily that will contribute to oil loss as the PCV Valves sometimes block and pressurise the crankcase, easiest way to check is get the engine warm then unhook the hose from the PCV valve [circular item on top of the rocker cover], then get some kitchen towel and with. the engine running see what comes out. Steve.

  6. Welcome Graham, and thanks for joining. There have been many posts on various models on the subject of replacing the goo and compressor with an actual spare wheel. It would be well worth doing a forum search on the subject. Kind regards, Gareth.
