  1. Drove the car the other day after my wife complained of an exhaust smell in the cabin when driving. Noticed a slight ticking noise from under the bonnet so upon investigation found one of the injector seals has gone resulting in a carbon sludge on the inner wing and exhaust manifold. Did some checking and the seals are sold separately at quite a cheap price. When changing it does also require a new injector bracket and bolt as the bolt is a stretch bolt and shouldn’t be reused. Unfortunately I’m so busy with some other bits going on for the min that I don’t have time to sort it myself, so it’s booked in at a garage to have all six seals replaced (if ones gone then logic would say the other five probably aren’t far behind it) and a service whilst it’s there. The seals and bolts are about £130 inc vat. I’ll post a couple of pics and a video incase anybody gets the same fault and wonders what it is. IMG_9185.mov

  2. Hi you are better served going to a specialist and getting it repaired its much cheaper, as for Audi warranties they are printed on Andrex if you researched the site there are hordes of posters but the most obvious is the current one about the mild hybrid alternators gong bang, most of the dealers are not interested, Audi build quality and warranties have been heading down the urinal for about the last ten years. Steve.

  3. Hi no problem, the term reconditioned is a broad church, but another thought has occurred to me that most turbo problems are caused by a failing EGR valve has yours ever been changed. Steve.

  4. Switch off your WiFi on the car and try reconnecting via Bluetooth. It should connect and then give an instruction "Do you want to activate WiFi Connection" or words to that effect. Then select yes and you should be good to go.

  5. Hello Mike, Sorry hear of your issue. Before delving into more complex possibilities, have you checked the main earths - off the battery and across to the engine? Good branded replacement battery fitted? Kind regards, Gareth.

  6. I've seen batteries with a weak cell drop to under 9volts when cranking but if the new battery is ok then I'd wonder if the starter motor is faulty/jamming causing the power drain.
