  1. End of story then Adam, and was to do with changes of number plates as was suggested. I’ll let you claim it was solved by yourself!

  4. Hello Lynn, If you have a search for air bag light, you will find suggestions in a recent - last week?- post on that topic. Resistors for seat belts? Why? Kind regards, Gareth.

  14. So is its current registration ADY 422D? If so, that was first issued in 1966, so obviously being used as a cherished plate. Repeating:- Contact the ULEZ controllers. Why the protracted WW route? ‘I smell something fishy…’ Simple resolution Adam - just make a decision not to buy it. Why all the procrastination and is it/isn’t it? Decision time! Kind regards, Gareth.

  15. You could try eBay. Or contact autoglass or Similar. But it won't be covered under your insurance though.

  17. Hi my name is Stephen and I own an A6 S Line 45 Tfsi Quattro. In Firmament blue with rotor grey leather. We have had Florence, that’s her name, yes I know it’s daft, but all my cats and bikes have had a name, since new in March 2022. I have read your message to newbies and I’m not going to post and run. However my reason for coming here is that she has developed a fault. I’m not going into that here today as it’s not the time and place, and I am trying to introduce myself. I will post her fault once introductions are over. I'm a retired Accountant, I love cars, motorcycles , hiking and gardening. I have posted some pictures of Florence on your post a pic thread. For good measure, here is another of Florence the A6 and Vicky the R1M . have a great day , Stephen 😊

  18. If the ccm is corroded, you might be able to clean the wiring but ultimately it'll need replacing with a part with an identical part number. It usually corrodes as water getting into the cabin.

  19. I have read elsewhere in this forum of squirrels eating car wiring. I have no idea of a solution except to put the car in the garage and do the woodworking outside.

  20. Hi Magnet, batteries not my area of expertise either... My battery wasnt AGM, so I didn't encounter this issue, but if you have stop start on your car, I don't, then i wouldnt switch types as the demands on the battery is completely different. If you do switch you'd defo have to reprogram the new type and for that you need VCDS too
