  3. I think so, but you can only get an airlock when there is a flow!! Theres nothing flowing so I've determined it must be the pump......At the end of the day, it's nearly time for a Cam belt anyway, so I've ordered it along with the pump and fitting tools. What is strange is that I don't have an overheating issue! ..... Maybe down to fitting a new radiator last year, and that diesel engines run a lot cooler than petrol ones anyway.

  5. Thanks Mario, Regrettably, only you or your mechanic can investigate to find the actual problem. Why did you need to replace the part? Kind regards, Gareth.

  6. Just bought a 2019 A5 with sloshing in the sills, found the service bulletin and decided to share in case others had this issue. Spoke to Audi service department today and apparently there is a fix for the water ingress along with the referenced improvement for water flow in the sills… haven’t found any information on the official fix yet..

  11. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones.

  12. Thanks Darryl, When was the timing belt replaced? Seems odd that whoever renewed the timing belt didn’t renew the aux. belt at the same time. Still, you got away with that one to some extent! Kind regards, Gareth.

  16. Hello, yes this message “Drive system please start manually” — I’ve just been reading owners manual page 90 - 91 the pages relate to start/stop system and it’s referring to certain conditions not being met therefore the engine may be switched off before the vehicle has come to a standstill . The basic conditions are listed midway page 90 , there’s also an information note a the foot of 90 stating in certain situations the engine may stop earlier while the vehicle is still COASTING ,
