  3. Not wanting to highjack the thread, but have you checked the fuse in the plug - plugs and fuses used for these obviously take an abnormally high current? If fuse tests OK, then test for continuity from the 3 pin plug end of the lead to the plug that plugs into the car. If you don’t have a test meter, or are uncertain about how to use it, it’s much safer to nip the cable around to an electrician to test it for you. Kind regards, Gareth.

  4. I've had a look online too and struggled to get answers. Theres always the chance the 2nd hand switch is defective. Think it'd be worth you getting it looked at by an auto electrician.

  5. Thanks Steve, not heard of either, but will do some googling and see what's what, feel free to throw some links my way if it's not too much hassle! As long as a live image shows up when I put the car in reverse, that's all I'm asking really. I love Audis but sometimes the brand really lacks in technology adoption when you put it up against other (even non luxury) brands. Edit: Found them both now and will nab some quotes, thanks for the heads up.

  7. Just a quick call in to say updated Ad Blue fix, is working well with no issue. Was worth the visit to Audi Limerick. Many manufacturers are having issue with Ad-Blue, great to see Audi taking a interest in sorting out customers problems. 2 years in nearly at this point...

  8. I did without removing much at all really on a RHD car from the drivers footwell. Good luck with it.. I think I followed a write up from the net . It wasn't a bad job at all if it was I would have remembered.

  9. If there are no fault codes and yet there is blatantly a fault when there is a known issue across multiple models then surely the starting point must be the alternator whether there is a code or not. The alternator is either charging the battery or it isn't.

  10. I also had an Audi S3 - loved it! I traded it in for a RS6 a few weeks ago.
