  1. Hi All, I hope I’ve posted this in the right place. since taking delivery of my A6 2 years 8 months ago, I’ve had a problem with the parking sensors, they go off for no reason and the car brakes, even when nothing is around. The dealership I bought the car from insist there is nothing wrong with her, they plug her into some computer which comes up with “environmental issues” they say a sensor is either dirty or has stone damage , I asked them to show me the offending sensor and they said they are all fine, there is nothing wrong. This isn’t the only problem I’ve had with sensors, and it’s getting much worse, so much so, after the last visit to the dealership where I couldn’t even get the car out of the car park without her breaking thinking she was going to hit something, they still insisted there was nothing wrong…. I decided it’s time for her to go. Which is sad, as she is the best car I’ve ever owned. Over that weekend, I thought I’d try another Audi dealer, so Monday morning I popped over to Blackburn Audi (40 mikes away) I explained I hadn’t bought the car from them, they replied you drive an Audi, we are an Audi dealer, we will look after your car. They booked her in, gave me a free courtesy car (my dealer charges £35 a day for a courtesy car) and in she went. They have fixed the issue, I now have the car I should have got originally. I’ve cancelled the cars service and mot at my local dealer and she is booked in at Blackburn Audi. Their customer service is perfect, they were sympathetic to the problems I was having and they sorted it. They thanked me for my business, Audi get charged for the warranty work. I was ready to turn my back on Audi, Blackburn Audi have restored my faith in the brand. The next Audi I buy will be from them. Oh and they had the new A5 in the showroom, it was beautiful 😊

  2. Make them aware you're concerned that the two cars are totally different despite being mechanically the same and ask for a refund? You're allowed a refund up to the first 30 days after sale.

  3. Sight of a full service history would be essential to my mind, particularly as Quattros get thrashed more than most cars,

  4. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones.
