  1. Hi, any chance of the Audi part number for the vent, and any photos would be helpful of its location on the car. Great info. Thanks Ian

  3. Niso. Your mechanics can hear the noise; I can not so I really can not help any further. Note that people often post recordings of what they believe are strange noises, but which are rarely audible to us here. The human ear close to the car can become attuned to such noises and mentally filter out the background engine and road noise. We do not have that advantage so unless you can get a better recording it is doubtful we can do more.

  5. Hi Kevin My E Tron GT went in for the same recall last week. Plus two computer upgrades. Audi kept it for a week but they said the high voltage heater takes along time to replace, nothing regarding the brake hoses. Got it back last Saturday and I must admit that the brakes are a lot more positive now. I hope you get it resolved soon. Tony

  6. Update. Still none the wiser. However I’ve raised it with Audi Uk and expect a reply within 2 days. Audi Cardiff say they have had no one else reporting anything similar (engine cut-out). Do you think now would be a good time to raise your experience? Dylan Davies is the manager dealing with it. I’ve told them there is someone else with the same issue but not said who or where. regards Brian

  8. Hi whoever butchered the wiring originally did so to accommodate the LEDs I would be inclined to consult an auto electrician as they have the knowledge and the equipment to restore the wiring to standard, me personally I hate retrofit LED conversions as they are piles of Chinese cr@p, which don't last. 9. Surely, any degree of ‘messing around’ with this 4 month old car is highly likely to run the risk of invalidating the warranty. Not my business, but if there is any element of PCP or finance involved in its purchase, it may be legally claimed that it’s not fully your property to mess around with anyway.

  10. Kwikfit has one of the worst reputations in the business. Better to go to a proper garage, preferably an auto electrical place, which will have the expertise to do a deep discharge test on the battery.

  11. Hi all, I was having the same problem with water coming into the spare wheel area & around my Bose amplifier. I also tried sealing the lights, changing boot seals & trim. I finally found on my car that the water was coming in through a small venting flap located directly bellow the light units. This flap is designed to allow air pressure to be released when closing the boot lid, this vent overtime sticks open. when you get heavy rain the water will run down behind the light units & run through the open flap filling the area were the amplifier is located along with the spare wheel.Due to its location you will have to remove the rear bumper & replace with a new one from Audi. This has now solved my water ingress problem, I am please to say. Hope this helps you all. my model is a; A6 C7 SALOON 2015
