  1. I have the car back from Stirling Audi. Here is the result of the investigation into the mirrors failing to operate except in low temperatures. The drive select mode “efficiency” only allows operation of mirror demist in low temperatures. The garage have reset the mode to “auto” and the mirrors now operate on demand by the driver! They say all modes except “efficiency” will allow the mirrors to operate as expected by using the switch on the door panel. I really hope this information is helpful to all owners of 2025 year model cars!

  2. A defective battery will cause a variety of operational faults and false error codes because the car's electronics are so sensitive. Get the battery professionally tested as a first step in the diagnosis, and let us know the result. If it proves to be faulty and has to be renewed ensure it is coded to the car else you will ruin it. Let's hope you did not waste your money on the turbo.

  3. Once again, thanks for your replies. I've been deliberately inexact in my post and accordingly have enjoyed a broad range of comment. Also I learn from an unrelated post by Dave L Rust, about selling his car, that a few hundred pounds would be a generous offer for it. I must post it for sale here in the club and meanwhile see if there are specialist scrap dealers. Bye4now, Peter.

  4. hi paul, sorry to hear about your situation and hope you get satisfaction at some stage of this whole process,i just want to commend you on the way youve gone about this from the start and you certainly deserve better treatment from audi/vw group. if its any consolation its the very same here in ireland with the way they treat customers, the brand name has really gone down the pan in the last few years.i wish you the best of luck and hopefully all the effort you put into this will pay off eventually.Greg

  5. Apologies for the gripe, but the forum has recently suffered from a spate of what can be termed ‘Post and Run’ new members, who seem to think it’s perfectly acceptable to post a plea for help, and simply not return to view the help given. In a more diluted form, help is offered, but is very rarely acknowledged even via. a simple press of the Like button, leave alone a posted Thank You. The last part of the gripe is that we frequently have to ask for additional information, and this extra detail often never materialises. Please remember, everyone who posts replies do so without payment, but it certainly does cost them in time - in terms of the Moderators and Admin back up - a lot of time. So a special plea to all on here who post needing help:- please be respectful enough to acknowledge any help given, rather than simply accept it as a no-cost, no time of yours, free advice service. It’s wearing thin folks, so if you want to retain this service, please respect and acknowledge its benefits. Thank you all for reading this, and above all, agreeing to adhere to the respect that is needed to be shown. Kind regards, On behalf of the Moderators. Please note:- This request is to all members, not just new ones.
