  1. Personally I only get Audi to do a service so the car to has a full service main dealer history- i get all the other repairs - brakes, tyres etc at a local garage that I have used for years - far more reasonable pricing.

  2. It was out of warranty but I had an extended warranty but that did not kick in as Monmotors got Audi UK to fess up, paid the recovery fee, courtesy car plus the repair

  3. Hello Kari and everyone. Collected my A7 from garage this morning. Full repair was done under the 7 year free extended warranty. Ive got the written report etc and will share later once scanned it. The Audi free 7 year warranty exists, do NOT let anyone at Audi fob you off. Tell them about all of us with same problems, print this forum if necessary and show them, tell them u are fully aware of rhe USA and UK warranties. Audi garage will always insist on carrying out their diagnostic check (£150) as first step. But dont worry re that cost as it will be covered by the 7 yr warranty. I didnt pay for anything. Also, book the diagnostic asap and push them for a courtesy car. Mine said rhey didnt have any which i think was nonsense, but no way of proving. I need to chase Audi for the independant towing service i had to pay. Started to draft a big complaint letter. Will share when done. Best of luck everyone, we are all in this mess together and must all push Audi to do better. H

  5. Modern cars are very susceptible to energy fluctuation, so a battery on the way out will throw up all sorts of errors, never mind cold cranking amps to turn the engine over. Sometimes it’s not just starting the car, but the battery under load. As mentioned, it does need coded. Get the best you can afford, likely to be AGM.

  6. Hello Alan, I would suggest you get the battery efficiency and alternator output checked before renewing the battery - Halfords stores should be able to do that for you. If it does need replacing, your wallet would appreciate you coming back to us before buying any battery - anywhere. Kind regards, Gareth.

  7. Looks a lovely A6. You could aways wrap it instead of painting it.
