Have you tried ebay at all? When you are there also read the feedback on any of the Audi maps sold... happy punters usually mean good maps. might be worth a try.

Hi mate and welcome to the club Do you have any form of warranty on the car? or did you buy privately? I would take it in and see if you can get an error code. If you bought privatly then you could take it to a small garage and get a code.. once you have that then you can research how to fix. Let us know how you get on mate

Definitely looks like a cat converter to me. You may wish to find a used one from a scap yard as that will save you a few quid.

I agree with Boz, if it is DPF (diesel particulate filter) then you need to run it up the motorway. I usually run it in a higher gear slightly to get the revs up and this cleans the filter nicely. However, as your car is a 2000 model, I am not sure it has a DPF

I dont think you can alter the profile without changing the wheels. Why dont you take a look on ebay for 16 inch wheels.
