  6. I have a 2.0 tdi 2012 and mine makes the same noise turning to the left I've been told it's just the power steering pump when turning but strange as I don't hear it turning to the right I've had mine for nearly 2 years and not bothering me and cant be nothing major its passed M.O.T like it
  7. DPF EGR REMAP all done runs like an absolute dream now 177bhp no smoke which is even better I was abit worried about it being done but now it's done I am very happy with the outcome cheers all
  8. Thanks Steve and Neil I will question this with the garage The remap on my insurance was good £30 for the year just need to get to the bottom of this DPF problem. Cheers Chris
  9. Yeah will be letting them know soon as i get the paperwork to say what the bhp will be
  10. Yeah I know what you mean but the way this done it's hidden because they drop the sub frame and drill a hole closest to the block on the top of the DPF so there is no reason for this to be seen and also where I take it for an mot will be the same garage that will be doing the work so all good on that part ,surely having this work done will solve and improve the drive of the car? thanks for your advice on this thou Steve
  11. Hi Steve, Yeah the DPF will be gutted but left in place so it looks like it's still on the car so won't be an mot failure. EGR will be blanked off then because of these 2 bits being done will need a remap car is in great working order apart from the above it's serviced regular will go from 136bhp to just under 200bhp so looking forward to that part of it haha, just wondered what people's thoughts were on having this done ? Cheers Chris
  12. Hi guys my A3 s-line 2.0 TDI is booked in to have the DPF EGR and a remap done is it worth it and what should I expect once it is done Thanks Chris
  13. I will try and repost later today thanks for letting me know
  14. Sorry yeah it's the engine it's not a smooth cut off . 20181002_151943.mp4
  15. Hi guys when I turn my ignition off it don't wind down slowly it just makes a clunk noise then cuts out any help appreciated . Thanks Chris
  16. Don't get me wrong they are not the type of bars I would leave on the car permanently as they do push the door rubbers out at the top of the door but as a now and again roof bar they're perfect 👍
  17. Hi Paul I have had no problem with them at all if you don't fit them correctly or use the correct bits that come with them as you get 3 different brackets for a range of cars great value for money
  18. Hi Andy I got them off eBay here is the item number Regards Chris https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253134310378
  19. Hi Andy I have a 12 plate and the same goes with roof rails not being fitted so I bought the after market ones which I use for window cleaning and they are spot on . Cheers Chris
  20. Thank you Steve and cliff, and thank you all for your advice
  21. Car all sorted new springs fitted and tyre replaced thanks all
  22. I have sorted the tyre just waiting for it to arrive at the tyre place and they will call me to get it fitted. Kind regards Chris
  23. Ok I'm getting where you are coming from but the garage I have bought the car from are doing the springs free of charge for me they can do the tracking for me but they don't have the equipment to optiline it,so I'll get springs and tracking done while car is there, The only reason I'm thinking of getting it optilined is that 2 mechanics from the garage I normally use for my work checked it today and said the camber looks more on the side that is lower by the knacked eye if by having the springs done sorts this issue I have out then I will have no need to get it optilined I'm just thinking ahead. Because it has one worn tyre and one brand new tyre on the back does it not make sense to get a new one on the side that is worn so I have 2 new tyres which should then wear the same in due course . Kind regards Chris
  24. Not getting the shock absorber done, I'm getting springs done at the garage I purchased the car as they are paying for it!,I will then get the tracking done because that's the done thing after the suspension has been done am I correct?, and as the other rear tyre is pretty much brand new does it not make sense to put the same tyre on the side that is worn ?
  25. Ok now then the tyre I'm about to change is pretty warn has about 4mm treat other side is brand new. Regards Chris
