  1. So, sick and tired am I of coming back and finding the most broken/busted up up typically two door Corsa or Renault Clio parked next to me. I park so far away from a store front yet, 'someone' always tends to be right next to me when I get back. I wouldn't mind as much , one individual parked so close I couldn't get in the drivers side (P££s taker), that said there were nearly 100 empty spaces. Only to find it was an 80 yr some odd old lady who said she was having difficulty in parking..Whaaaaaat!!! :|) Anyway for no reason than that, I have finally succumbed to ensuring whomesoever whacks, prangs or clouts the A7 I want it captured, such is the paranoia of not wanting a 'fast repair' company to sort out the open door crease in the side of the car. and to keep my No Claims Down if I really have to claim. Anyway my first place was flEbay - there have some decent deals at the mo, looks like Audi got a boat load they need to shift. I am now going to reside into darkened room whilst I plan my install - once I see words like remove A pillar, b pillar c pillar im capable but not daft I wanna trash the internals. I have attached the preparation list below - if anyone else is up for the challenge - I'm going to definitely try to not to pay Audi £360 for two hours labour The install instruction refer to other instructions which I guess are AUDI technician references - damn I need them #232504331893 is where I got mine including wiring harness, front and rear camera and "installation instructions but not fitters instructions - I made a best offer :) saved £10 So if anyone else taking on this task gimme a shout please, when I install Ill do my best to document and take pics as I do it. (just not today)
  2. Had an interesting call with Dunlop. All Dunlop tyres have 5 year manufacturing warranty, they have advised that I go back to the garage were they were purchased from (in some cases that might be the dealer) And ask them to complete a dealer return form, these tyres will then be sent to Dunlop and farmed off to Germany for further inspection. (doesn't help if you no longer have them) but I think it is still worth pointing out to Dunlop what issues have arisen especially if like me you have replaced like for like at the 275/30/21 I have are R01 rated - Audi specified tyres. Under the sale of goods act the cost and refitting will/should be refunded. I am going back to me local tyre fitter and ask them to return the tyres to dunlop, it costs them nothing to do this I have been told Details below: GOODYEAR DUNLOP TYRES UK LTD ADDRESS: Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited 2920 Trident Court Solihull Parkway Birmingham Business Park Birmingham B37 7YN TELEPHONE: General information: +44 (0)121 378 7000 EMAIL: tyre_doctor@dunloptyres.com
  3. There was a recall notice according to this report. https://www.tyrepress.com/2016/02/recall-dunlop-sportmaxx-gt-size-25540-zr19-100y-xl/ Be it to say the customer services number no longer works - Goodyear no longer in Wolverhampton
  4. This sounds very familiar, similar issue I had with Dunlops sportsmax GT I also have pictures for my Audi garage. who were initially non-plussed until I threatened to return the car. I had taken out the wheel and tyre insurance, you have never heard such a "palaver" I sent in the pictures as requested to them and the so called insurer and that was it, heard nothing back. I was stranded with a 2 flat front tyres, only having the car for two months and done possibly 500 miles. Off course I had to shell out the better side of 500 for two replacements. Long story short all my initial payment s to the insurers refunded, the garage eventually refunded me for the tyres. The only issue I take with the this is they shouldn't have been on the car in the first place, ultimately the tyre garage noticed the years difference in the tyres, two were from 2015, one from 2016 and one 2017(before the car was made??). Hope you sort this out as there is clearly and issue with these tyres, once a week now check the tyre pressures, don't rely on the DIS it doesn't report. I had no warning of early deflation, the first time I realised the loss of pressure was turning a corner and thinking I was dragging my exhaust on the ground - that was the rim touching the tarmac at 10 mph.
