  1. I was going to say main dealer unfortunately. Glen.
  2. Hello and welcome to the club Tech. Always nice to see a new face. Glen.
  3. Makes sense. It doesn't sound like I was confused. I was suggesting it would be a good idea to keep the car and wait until the new arrived before selling the old car. Technically you don't need to know when the new one will be delivered as you could use the old one until the new car was in your possession And then try to sell it, once you're already driving your new car. The fact that you didn't want to be without a car seemed to be the root of the problem. In any case it does sound like the salesman was unsure of the tracker himself. Glen.
  4. I've heard of the tracker but I haven't used it myself. But if you're using it to help time the selling of your current car which you sound like you do then you could wait until the new car arrives and then sell the old one. Unless if there's something I don't know that prohibits that course of action. Glen.
  5. Nothing immediately springs to mind. Welcome to the club as well. Glen.
  6. I've tried to Google the solution (and other sites) but I can't seem to find what kind of fuse it takes. I can't say I have a ton of experience with this issue but I think halogen bulbs should be with most fuses. Perhaps if you knew a Audi specialist then they could tell you definitively what fuse it takes. Might not even need to look at the car. Glen.
  7. You could try Pirellis. I hear they're good for Audis. Glen.
  8. Do you want to know what the fuse you need is. As for why it's not listed in the handbook I can't think of any obvious reason why it wouldn't be there. Glen.
  9. Yup, some good ole polish should do the trick.
  10. Mark has the same idea that I do. I've just done a quick Google search for LEDs with the resistor already in place and unfortunately I can't see anything. But it did reveal that resistors is the most common fix. Glen.
  11. I haven't done it myself as I'm not into tuning but I know a number of my friends who changed the air filters and had great results. As for actual BHP increases I'm afraid to say I don't know but they were really pleased. Glen.
  12. Glen

I would imagine there are many fabric conditioner products out there. I remember Steve knew a company that sold something that would help but I can't remember what it was. Glen.
  13. Well I hope you manage to get it sorted soon, certainly a bad situation to be in. Glen.
  14. It is weird for sure. To be honest I think you're pursuing the right course of action to find a solution because it would have to be a fault with something in control of lots of elements rather than a single instrument. Glen.
  15. Yeah you'd think it's the ECU. Shame you're suffering so much trouble with it. Glen.
  16. Maybe the link has been damaged. Would certainly explain why they're not receiving a signal. The other suggestion that springs to mind is that it's a software glitch in need of correcting. Glen.
  17. Can you give us a better idea of which specific instruments are not working or is it a case where everything has failed and only the fuel and temp work? Sorry if that's a stupid question but I've not heard of that many instruments failing unless it's on one of Top Gears supercars for under £1,000 challenges. Glen.
  18. Yes. Using good oil, filtering and changing improves the chances for any pump no matter what brand. It doesn't mean that it definitely won't per say but if it does it shouldn't be so catastrophic. Glen.
  19. Welcome to the club. If they're rubbing on the arches you may have to raise the suspension so that they fit. Of course you won't get the same support in the corners unless you then stiffen it up. That's the only suggestion I have. Glen.
  20. I would guess it's the sensor in the tank that's gone wrong. Sounds as though it's not detecting the right amount of fuel. Worth a further look anyway. Glen.
  21. Welcome from me to. Hope you stick around. Glen!
  22. Sounds like fun but I don't think I'll be able to make it.
  23. I had nothing to add to Steve's obstruction theory as that was my first thought too. They immediately wind down if there's an obstruction to stop people from winding windows up on police officers trying to have a chat (if you know what I mean). Anyway, Blackie has the correct solution. Glen.
  24. It does sound like it's going to be good. Glen.
