  1. I've never had an issue with I Pod integration so I don't know much about it. You might want to check that the I Pod even recognizes it first. Could be that it's not pairing with the unit which sometimes it does have to do. Glen
  2. I Pod connectivity is great. There are many aftermarket products you could buy and since you say you're a modder I doubt they'll stump you when installing. There other things you can do like for example you can get a tape cassett that has a wire coming out of it that plugs into your I Pod and then plays the songs back on the sound system. I'm not sure about CD equivalents but I'd be willing to bet there will be something out there. Welcome to the club, Glen.
  3. I can't say for sure since this isn't a common issue but I would guess that the wiper blade is the wrong kind which is forcing the arm into the wrong angle at the point where it's hitting the top of the bonnet. I'm not entirely sure but that's my first guess. Welcome to the club by the way, nice to have you here.
  4. Welcome to the club. I haven't got any experience with your issue so I can't say if there's a knack to it or not but I bet someone on here can help. Try posting on the Q7 specific forum if no one answers here. Glen
  5. Hello and welcome to the club!
  6. The bit that interests me in your post is bought back. Does that mean you owned it once before and then sold it and missed it that much? Heck that's probably a stupid question. Welcome to the club.
  7. I have to say that my favorite sound system is the Bang and Olufsen unit that rose out of the dashboard. That was so stylish. That is cool.
  8. The 100 is no longer produced but it has left a lasting legacy on the Audi lineup. When it was first launched the car was a small four door coupe akin to the A7 coupe of today (in shape, not size) and was designed to provide affordable stylish motoring for a lot of people to enjoy. In fact it does share a striking resemblance to the A7 of today. It's the way in which the roof line tapers with almost the exact same style rake. Even so as newer models came out the coupe styling was phased out bit by bit until the 1982 C3 model became positively square jawed. It was quite clear that the coupe was gone for good in the 100 and it was now unmistakably a more practicle saloon car. And then in late 1991 the C4 was launched with a more rounded front end but the coupe hadn't returned. What it did bring was the name Avant for Estate Models which is a name that Audi still uses to this day. It also bought in the S4 which would go on to be the performance name for the A4. Speaking of the A4. The A4 was the car that finally put the 100 to sleep when it was finally launched. The A4 has become one of the biggest selling Audi models and a staple in the lineup since it was launched. Now that's not a bad legacy, the A4 and the A7!
  9. Hi Cassie. Yup you're the first A8 owner here. I can only imagine how good it feels to be in an Audi with the exclusive massager turned on. Glen.
  10. The 3.0l Diesel should do it, I certainly can't see why it won't. I still reckon it'll take some light footed driving around town to get mid 30's. On a motorway cruise you might even hit 40 something reguarly.
  11. Well it's good to hear it all worked out. It's also very good to have this post up here for future members. Glen :)
  12. I'm not entirely sure hoe you would get round that issue. In all honesty you might have to go to a garage and get a new key cut for it. That's the only real solution I can think of as I really doubt there's a workaround. If there was then cars would be getting stolen quite frequently.
  13. I was ribbing you a tad with the sleeping in it comment as it's cold all over the country at the moment, beds still the best! Good to know you're enjoying the car. I can't see it letting you down.
  14. Hi and welcome Batman, good to have a Dark Knight onboard. How have you found the TT?

    A2 Pickup?

I was trolling the internet today when I saw this and I thought to myself "that looks really cool," What do you think? I think it's sweet.
  16. Well if you have a petrol model then I would say yes to optimistic If you're talking a diesel then I see no reason why not. Might take a little light footed driving in slow moving traffic though.
  17. I think Mark could be right with what's going on. Now that I think about it when you go to full beam it lights up more without any one bit being brighter. Good call.
  18. Sleeping in it is probably a good idea, good heat insulation and plenty comfy. To be honest in the real world the A3 you have will likely serve you better than a Type R. I have a couple of mates who run Type R's and boy do they do through petrol quick.
  19. Sounds a good price to me. My Dad had a BM that had a Head Gasket go on him and it cost him more than his car was worth to get it fixed.
  20. Having a new battery fitted anywhere outside the main dealer network is usually quite reasonably priced. The Halfords deal sounds good to me. As for coding I doubt there'll be much of a problem, just plug in and it works like a battery on any other device as far as I'm aware. Best take a look at what Steve mentioned too, think I saw that too.
  21. That's a good shout there. For me it's definitely to do with the fact that you get good quality. I've never got in one that didn't have a solid well designed interior.
  22. That's a weird one. I've heard stories that LED headlights are brighter dipper than when on full beam but I can't see LED's in your pictures. I hope someone on here has a good answer but this has me stumped.
  23. If you aren't in a hurry then you could obviously ask a few garages for quotes. Shopping around is always the best way to get a good bargain.
  24. Hi Q, welcome to the club. That's not bad at all for 500 quid. Heck, that isn't bad for 2,000 quid if you ask me. I look forward to your further posts. P.S. I'm Chun, Glen Chun. If you aren't a 007 fan then I'm going to look so silly.
  25. Replacing a TT? A lot better on the practicality side I bet.
