I'd love to update my MMI to the android auto version, but going into the version info menu I only see two lines of info, I don't see the info shown on all the guides, with which mmi version I have. Any ideas? My car is a 2014 c7, re face-lift, but seems to have facelifted interior, larger mmi screen, large cluster screen etc. Any ideas how I can find out? Thanks

Thanks Entwood. Didn't realise it was so involved and would take a £600 installation! I'll have to consider my DIY options, either an LCD mirror, or aftermarket screen replacement I think

I've recently bought a 2014 A6 Avant, pre-facelift, but with the upgraded MMi with larger screen and better LCD in the cluster (I'm not sure what this version is referred to as!) I'm wondering if there are any options to simply add a reversing camera. Any OEM wires waiting for a camera or anything? (Wishful thinking!?) In our other car I've fitted a rear view mirror with an LCD built into it, I may have to do that again, but I can't find any info on a more OEM fit for one!

I keep thinking, whenever the wife borrows my a5, I wonder if the seat positions can be memorised? Surely the car recognises the key being used, can electronically move the seats, so what's stopping it? Anyone know if it's something that can be enabled?

I think it's because CD text is a Sony trademark, something like that! I may be wrong but if you find a CD produced by Sony you'll find track names appear. Also if the CD is one you've burnt yourself via iTunes etc and you've selected cd text as an option. I was very pleased to find out the cd player in my 2008 A5 reads mp3's, I loaded 6 cds of favourite songs of 6 genres and found that's all I need to satisfy most things I'm in the mood to listen to!
