  1. Hi All, Hope everyones keeping well and enjoying the fantastic weather we've been enjoying the past couple of months, it's been awhile since I logged in due to my work load and I thought i'd give you a little update on life with the my A6..... Day 101 - 14751 miles covered.... Lowest MPG = 27MPG (Brecon Beacons and a few other welsh driving roads, great fun) Best MPG = 54MPG (Eco mode - Val Thorens in France back to England on 1 fill - 670 miles) Bits i'm loving Heads up, Active lane control, Active Cruise Control, Bose Sound System, Super sports seats The car feels well and truly run in now and each mile has been great fun, As much acceleration as i need and without thinking your at licence losing speeds so thank god for speed limiter alarm... Super sport seats have been really comfortable and still looking like new (i'm not a small chap!), Family and colleagues still saying how much they like and love the look of them..., All the driving aids make life on long journeys so easy..... Bits i could live without Night Vision Its a very cool toy and impresses those who see it for the first time but in all honesty you can spot the dangers before the camera does on any road unless its its perfectly straight and pitch black......those pesky animals never jump out on the straights....they always wait for the apex of the bend! Most annoying aspect It needs Adblue every 5000 Miles!!!!!!!!!!, 1st service warning now flashing and required within the next 4000 miles (4 weeks for me so already booked in) Regards Jdmave
  2. Day 18 3319 miles on the A6 Ran the car in as per Audi's guidelines (1000 miles at low Rpms) and then gradually open the rev range abliet sticking within the legal limits of course...... Supersports seats getting more comfortable by the day and everyone liking.....Active cruise control and lane assist a god send on the longer stints....Heads up fantastic especially at night with the nav directions which are easy to follow... Car pulls like a train (dam now thinking i should have gone for the 320BHP) but joking aside its been fantastic so far and returning early 40 mpgs, the ride with sline supension and 20" Alloys has been great as worried it might be super crashy bone jarring ride....car corners like its on rails. So far loving the car...... Julian PS The night vision has highlighted a couple of incidents and have to say even if its late evening or early morning with this bit of kit the car will highlight you even if hiding behind bushes lol
  3. Cheers and i'll try to keep updates flowing as the car will be getting a regular work out.... Day 3 285 miles on the clock (arrived with 2.2 miles), Trying to follow the Audi Running in instructions but struggle to retain the right foot....only 700 miles to go.. Supersports Seats - So far very comfortable and everyone loving Head Ups - Dam helpful Night Vision - Cool Toy Alloys - They look huge but still glad i went for them
  4. Its Arrived
  5. Spent the day clearing out the LR Disco ready for parting company..........(121K miles on a 65 plate but be more likely to end close to 125k at this rate....) Now is the A6 going to be next week or the week after.....the suspense....
  6. Quick Update Been lost at sea for 6 days but today I had the tracker update its in the UK (dont know where)

  8. Hi Richard, Thankyou for the congrats and definately looking forward to its arrival......., its a company car but I always treat it likes it my very own. The spec was obviously down to budget they had given me..so narrowed it down to either A6 Avant Blk Ed BiTdi 320 Daytona Grey Tech Pack Advance Or A6 Avant Blk Ed 272 Daytona Grey Tech Pack Advance Pano Roof Heads Up Night Vision Super Sports Seats I live down on the coast near Seaford but cover 50 - 60k miles per annum for work including Europe so hopefully this car will tick all the boxes (kicking myself as forgot to add Matrix Lights Arghhhhhhhh), I'm the end i thought best to go with the slower car but have toys to play with whilst covering the distances...
  9. I darent see the tracker as probably going around the world and bounced off the limiter a million times already ..........................
  10. Hopefully not but then knowing my luck the boat will go via Australia
  11. Cheers Paul, Just had the tracker update to say car just leaving Factory for the boat....................so guessing all will go quiet now for 5 - 7 days
  12. Hoping the Super Sports Seats are going to be comfortable as now thinking that going for the 20"'s and the s-Line suspension set up my A6 is going to feel every ripple.....when it finally arrives..
  13. Aghhhhhhh its been in Quality control stage for over a week now..............., do i start to worry its had some birthing issues........
  14. Cheers......, just checking and my cars finally moving in the process
  15. Very nice Landy you have there Steve, This is my baby
  16. Your not wrong there, the drive of the disco has always been great (when running) and i'll miss the high up seating as makes for fantastic visability but count myself lucky as still have my LR Defender 90 TD5 (just cant bring myself to part with it. Just hoping I've got the spec right on my A6, I have been reading through the A6 forums to see what others gone for or their ownership experience....as had lots of deliberation as to which of the 3.0 TDI's to go for (little one loads of spec or bigger one butvery basic spec) My Spec A6 Avant 3.0TDi 272bhp Black Edition Daytona Grey 20" 5 spoke star design wheels Tech Pack High Pano Roof Super Sports Seats Heads Up Nightvision (compensation for not being so high up lol) Regards Julian
  17. Hi Steve, Absolutely, keep checking the tracker to see if any progression as not progressed now for 10 days (feels like forever). I'm coming back to Audi from Landrover (2015 Discovery 4) but as my job involves very high mileage a car normally only lasts with me around 24 months however the disco has been a little bit longer as it's been hiding in the LR dealers for quite a bit as on 3rd engine as a few months warranty work. Regards Julian Ps...I've read the forum rules
  18. Hi All, Returning back to the Audi fold after 4 year break and cant wait for my A6 Avant to arrive (going into build on the 19th March)..... Regards Jdmave
