  1. Hi Craig, welcome to the forum. I was involved with the H4H redevelopment of Tedworth House and had the pleasure of meeting Glyn Parry and his wife early on in the project. Only went there a couple of times, nice part of the country. I believe the 1.9 engine is ok and fairly bullet proof subject to being looked after and serviced. I am sure Tech will be along to offer some advice.
  2. Hi Kevin, welcome to the forum. Which audio system has the car got?? my advice would be to look at retro fitting an after market kit from Dension or someone like that.
  3. Mine illuminate when the car is unlocked or the doors are open. I'll try and take a photo to show you how bright they are
  4. Hi, i personally would use a DTE box from Diesel Performance read up here http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/2849-more-bhp-and-torque/?hl=tuning
  5. Mine has shredded two rear tyres in 4000 miles. I do have a tuning box on it so power is nearly 300hp so as 60% of the power goes to the rear thats understandable. With everyday driving i would have thought that 15K miles from a set would be normal
  6. I have 4 21" Wheels and Tyres as pictured here £1400 ono Two front tyres have 5-6mm tread Rears are illegal Cash on collection from Bromsgrove Worcestershire
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum. I've been using an 8Gb card in my Q7 no problem. Sometimes ive heard that if the file name is too long it wont accept it. Also the card has to be formatted to FAT32 and dont have too many folders within folders
  8. Hi, what year is the Q7?

  10. Hi and Welcome to the forum. Good choice of car I'll pop the bonnet on my car and see what covers are under the engine bay.
  11. Hi Andy, welcome along! You kept that quiet mate, swapping the Q7. Hows the new addition to the family? ( The baby not the car!)
  12. HI and welcome to the Club and Forum
  13. Hi, i would guess that the glow plug pre warmers are shot. If you turn the ignition on and let the glow plug light go out and then switch it off and put the glowplugs back on again i bet it starts easier. Assuming its manual you could also depress the clutch to remove the drag of the gearbox as well.
  14. I worked with a guy who has an a6 avant 2.5 which has done over 250K miles
  15. Welcome aboard Ken. Dont forget to post some photos when it arrives
  16. As Tech says, its under warranty, get Audi to sort it.

  21. Welcome along
  22. The Q7 is a beast, can keep up with most things on the road!

  23. ive used it in the past (when it was cheaper than current prices) and could feel the difference, the engine felt more responsive. I vaguely recall a fifth gear episode where they tested all manner of fuels from supermarkets, leading brands and of course the super unleaded and diesels and optimax etc. Over all conclusion was that the gains were minimal something like 5hp but they also got an increase from a cheap supermarket fuel if i recall correctly.
  24. Whilst the 245BHP Q7 is no slouch, adding another 50Hp and 120NM of torque will certainly improve it further. Having had plug and play tuning boxes on lots of previous vehicles i wanted one for the Q7. I have only bought ones from Diesel Tuning UK and have been very pleased with them. I had one on my 2.0Tdi TT so i sent the box back to Andrew at DTUK and had the correct maps put on the unit and a new wiring harness provided to match the Q7 Fitting it is simple and requires no tools what so ever. Simply pop the bonnet and remove the top engine cover/cowl. The quality wiring harness is easy to fit making two connections; one onto the fuel rail and the other on to the boost controller. The unit has 4 different maps with each of them being adjustable between -30% and +30%. Maximum claimed bhp is 295 and 670NM. As the maps produce more power at lower RPM fuel consumption gains can be had as the engine can change gear at lower RPM. Ive had the box on for a week or so now and tried a couple of the maps. One thing i noticed on the Q7 was the lack of throttle response, this is improved when in sport mode however fitting the tuning box has sharpened up the throttle response further. Power and performance is now unbelievable for such a heavy car. The rear tyres are struggling for grip in the dry and the quattro system has its work cut out keeping things in check. I can highly recommend these tuning boxes which can be used on a variety of cars unlike remaps. The box i am currently using has been on 3 cars now so value for money is good. Take a look and read for yourself http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/audi-diesel-tuning.html
  25. i would start by tracing the wiring and finding the control box etc which hopefully will identify a manufacturer or model number etc. Then you try and track down the user guide and instructions etc.
