  1. Thank god for the heated seats in the Q7!

  2. Just noticed that your comments are appearing in the comments box at the bottom of each topic page. Or maybe it's because you're batman.........
  3. Hi Mark, welcome along. That's a few miles on the clock! I worked with someone recently who had an A6 Avant 2.5tdi which had done nearly 250k.
  4. Hi, for upgrading the OEM audio etc you can get the DAB and iPod integration from here http://www.vwcruise.com/Audi-A7-4G-2010-2013.html Or there's always http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/Audi/Q7-4L
  5. Now that I've collected my Q7 and fiddled with the controls, the headlights operate like the TT I had. The HID's are a single lamp. When the headlamp flash or main beam is selected the lamp is tilted using the motors. You'll notice when you first switch them on, the headlamp does a little dance and sets the headlamp beam level each time they are turned on. HID lamps take a few seconds to warm up so it's quicker to move the lamp than switch another lamp on.
  6. Hi, have you got halogen lamps or HiD?
  7. Val, you need to first of all find out the PCD of the vehicle. PCD stands for pitch circle diameter and relates to the number of wheel studs the hub has and the size of the bore. The standard wheels will have an offset as well so the wheels fit under the arches without fouling them when on full lock etc. A quick check on google shows the all road uses a standard VAG wheel hub with a PCD of 5x112 and an offset of ET42. As this is a common size there are lots to choose from. Personally I'd choose something easy to clean rather than lts of spokes etc, but each to their own.
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum. There are plenty of wheels for sale on eBay, just make sure you get the correct PCD and offset etc.
  9. Hi Tommo, welcome aboard. If the car is in warranty, take it straight back to a main dealer. If not I'd still visit a dealer to look at another Q5 and compare the wiper arms.
  10. Hi caped crusader, I'm guessing that the videos are hosted by YouTube so the comments may appear on there rather than this forum. I could be wrong.
  11. Hi, I've not used this forum software before so in not familiar with it. As there isn't a feedback section I'll have to post it here. I personally think there is too much advertising on the forum and the pages look cluttered with to much distracting you from the actual topic being read. I first thought this was due to me viewing it on the IPad but I've used the iMac iPad it's the same. I know from first hand experience that the advertising pays for servers, domains and the general up keep etc so it's a prerequisite but in moderation. Membership takes time but its a gradual process. Remember there are other forums dedicated to certain models like the TTforum for example. Social media exposure such as twitter and Facebook are free and an ideal source of members.
  12. Yes its the 3.0 diseasal 245Hp. My Navara will do low 30's and that engine isnt as efficient as the Audi, nor is it as aerodynamic. Having said that its only 2wd most of the time.
  13. So what are people getting on average from their Q7's?? My TT is claimed to do upto 60mpg on the motorway etc but in real life it does an average of 48mpg with mixed driving and a mixed driving style. I'm hoping I can get mid thirties from the Q7. Am i being optimistic?
  14. From what I've read in the brochure, the assist function raises the headlights to produce better vision and lights up more of the road further ahead. To prevent glare and blinding on coming drivers the sensors detect cars coming towards the vehicle and lower the headlights again. It doesn't mention any additional lamps being used. I haven't collected my Q7 yet so I haven't experienced this and my TT doesn't have it. One thing I found with the TT is that the Hid headlights are very good on dipped beam but when raised to the main beam position they seem to loose a lot of the intensity as the light output is spread over a wider beam pattern.
  15. For me its the quality, reliabilty, looks and of course the premium badge on the back.
  16. Hi Glen, thanks for the welcome. Yes the TT is great but the need for a second family size car and a more useable motorway cruiser means it gets chopped in against the Q7 at the weekend.
  17. Hi Jon and welcome. Which.model have you bought?? I've had audis for a while now and they have been trouble free
  18. Hi Steve, looks like you could do with some more members. It's a slow process but it can take a while. I run two of my own forums and moderate others. I'll post some pics when I collect it Cheers Mark
  19. Hi, i've just joined as i have purchased a Q7 to replace my current TT.
  20. You should only crank it after the pre-warmers have been on and the dash light has extinguished.
  21. Hi all, i've just joined as i have just purchased a Q7 (S-Line 245BHP Tiptronic) to replace my current TT.
