  1. Hi JamesXX How's the Q& doing with the new Grabber GT tyres? ...also what's the noise level like? Its that time for me too and i've got to say that compared to a lot of other Q7 owners I have been fortunate, last tyre change was 2.5 years ago and she's done about 20k miles in that time :)
  2. RE: Adaptive air suspension system active warning light. Managed to get a full diagnostic scan done and it seems that the Solenoid valve block has a possible blockage causing the rear suspension not to lower, in addition the air pump has been damaged from constant activation. I am told that parts and labour cost for this is circa £850!! PS: Only recently changed the Intake manifolds, EGR valve and Throttle valve which drilled a very large hole in my pocket as my warranty company insisted it was down to wear and tear attributable to a vehicle of that age. They bluntly refused to cover the cost. My Q7 seems to be costing me a lot of money, beautiful drive, all mod cons but mechanical parts and electronics seem to be of poor quality compared to its BMW and Merc counterparts. Quite disappointed
  3. Hi Need to pick your brains please...... A few days ago I noticed that the adaptive air suspension system active warning light was coming on quite frequently on my Q7 Upon investigating I noticed the following: (1) The car seems to be stuck in one position - the back is raised while the front is not. (2) When I start the car there is a grunting noise coming from the rear (almost as if the car is attempting to either raise or lower itself. (3) After the grunting noise the adaptive air suspension system active warning light comes on and then stays on throughout the drive (4) I also noticed that some of the suspension options are greyed out on the MMI (Lift, Off-road & Dynamic) Any ideas on what may be the problem? How big a job this is? Will my 3rd party warranty cover this? Car is a 2006 Q7 3.0 TDi SLine Lagos Boy

  5. Thanks Tech I'll put the small red screw driver away then. Blasted thing almost led me into a ditch last week.
  6. oh dear. Thanks Mark. I'm going to bite the bullet and call Audi. Ta!
  7. Mine's a 2007 S-Line The DVD (for the SAT NAV) is near the spare wheel on the right hand side of the boot Separate from the 6 disc CD player in the dash
  8. Hiya I am trying to replace the Q7’s NAV DVD from its case in the trunk. When I press the eject button all I get is a flashing light but without the DVD being ejected. Any ideas that doesn’t involve going to the dealers? :)
  9. Many thanks Mark. I guess I just needed to be assured that its not rocket science :0 Will pop in to Halfords Ta!
  10. Hi Guys, Great forum. just joined. Bought a 2007 Q7 6 months ago. 1st 4X4, 1st Audi, 1st Turbo diesel....and I'm loving it. I am told that I need to replace my battery as its coming to the end of its life. Audi garage near have charged me £400 all in I mean they are nice enough guys in Audi, but In the 1st 3 months I donated £900 to replace and fit my electronic center console (someone spilled some coffee on it) £56 for wiper blades and the best so far £600 to investigate and fix a blown out brake light (it turns out current was not getting to the light and they had to strip the doors to trace the problem..blah blah blah) So Question 1 - Isn’t this just a straightforward battery swap? Question 2 - Are Halfords qualified and able to do this? Question 3 - Does anyone know a good independent Q7 specialist in the Kent area (10 mile radius of Bromley) who I can use as my Q7 Doctor & plastic surgeon Look forward to your replies Thanks
