Is it an 8L A3? Im looking for instrument cluster ( 8L0920950D ) one with digital display at the bottom of rev counter and speedo? Also if plastic inside the car is black, the storage drawer out the driver seat as well plz? If you could please let me know price including postage to PA3 2EL please and thanks

Bought 2nd hand instrument cluster from Ebay, when you plug it in the car doesn’t idle? Like immobiliser problem? Any help or advice? part numbers are exactly the same

I was wondering do I need to get my car mapped to fit egr blanking kit? Or am I able to fit and go? any help and advice will be appreciated thanks

I was suffering from irregular idle, boost problems as well, was told it was a common fault and thought this was best solution two small self tapping screws, al problems have stopped so far

I will take a picture of what i done to fix mine, stops irratic idling, and boost problems

If you mean this gap on your boost pipe its a common fault bud,

Quick question completely off topic so I apologise just now, headlights on a3 8L can you split the lense off with out damaging it???

I’ve noticed the plastic trim on the bottom of the screen has a channel line if you get what i mean and on the scuttle panel theres a groove type bit that it sits in?? Just asking as mine has never sat right and when on my travels round the breakers yesterday I must have destroyed 3 scuttle panels trying to get the wiper motor out? And wondering if that what was causing my leak and soaking the carpet on passengers side?

Definitely dann and thank you, btw is there a trick to fit the scuttle pannel back properly?? As it’s sitting what a thought was correct but theres a gap between it and bottom of the windscreen?

Just a quick update 😊👍 cars fixed thank god!! Went back to breakers yard with the motor and mine with mechanism to compare properly, found an exact same in a 02 golf fitted it complete with wipers put the bonnet down and hey presto wipers are working again!!! like to thank everyone for all the help an advice

Contacted the breakers yard and was told it was an a4 the motor was removed from? would that make a difference as the guy there said I could take it from a octavia, leon or golf?

Is the any audi specialist or auto spark on this forum near me by any chance?? Not sure what the fault is or was? Car went to a garage 1st time they started playing up and was told a wiper motor was the fault? I have tried a good few only problem is at the start the bonnet was open? a can see me selling it as nothing but problems the now Just wondering, is there not aa way of checking with a volt meter if the motor and wiper stalk is faulty? I remember a friend showing me a wee trick to cheeck abs sensor?? im not a mechanic but do know wee bits and bobs and no scared to get dirty

I’ve just found out that the wipers don’t work with the bonnet open so maybe one of the first 6 may have worked but the last one was the newest and cleanest looking out of them all and I actually fitted it properly and closed the bonnet and it only does intermittent cycle on full speed? i own a volt meter and test light if someone could help out would be appreciated as off the road due to scottish weather

The front wiper motor on the car stopped working yesterday, so i went to one of the local breakers for a 2nd hand replacement and the 1st one was different then 2nd wouldn’t work at all? So tried another motor and same nothing I’ve been to 4 breakers and 7 motors that look the same with same plug and no movement? Am I doing anything wrong? Does it need coded? Any help is appreciated thanks

I remove the wipers then the plastic along the front? Check drain holes under the plastic? I noticed a filter of some sort? Would this also cause blower moter to be noisy??

It has been raining non stop the last few day, every morning I have a puddle passenger front foot well? Cant seem to see where it’s coming from exactly but not usung any water?? Please any help or advice greatly appreciated thanks

Hi all, i have a 2002 Audi A3 (8L) TDI sport, i bought a white dial kit for the speedo, rev, fuel and temp gauge, now i wish i never bothered, I removed the needles only to find out the wrong kit was sent. So i had to rebuild the cluster, when placing the needles back on they went on fine I thought but the temp and fuel gauge do not register anything but when the car is off they go to about half??? Any idea?? Been told to get a new set of clocks but i need to match part numbers? Can i not use any 1.9 diesel manual a3 clocks?? any help or advice is great fully appreciated

Does anyone know if changing these plastic parts would resolve the windows going up problem? As i have said if i open the door and put each hand on either side of the window and help the glass up as someone else works the switch it closes fine? If the window goes all the way down I need to strip the door card of and help window up from the bottom of the glass until I have enough at the top? its as if the windows are out of line if anyone understands what i mean? Is there any adjustments available for the electric motor or the runners? As don’t think motors/ cables or switches have a fault?

Im not exactly sure tho guessing plastic bit that clips onto the cable and goes up and down?
