No you're not moving to fast - don't worry we all understand how easy it is to fall in love with these cars!
Those codes are just referring to the model code for each generation. Yours will most likely be a B8 (if the newer shape) or could be a very late B7. Hope that helps!
Never used car giant myself, but they're a big well known company,
The car is still not that old to be honest but has done a fair mileage for 3 and a half years. Just check the obvious - what's the service history like as it doesn't mention it?
Hi John, that doesn't sounds too good!
10thou skimmed is just relating to how much the head has been skimmed (0.010")
I'd suggest that if the car was starting etc prior to going in and having the work then it must be an issue with them putting it back together. I'm not sure I would have that much confidence in the garage by the sound of it?
Definitely likely to be the tyres. You'd be surprised how much difference it can make. Lower profile sports orientated tyres often want to pull in the direction of the road surface it's just how they are unfortunately.
Not me personally but I've heard it is possible. My Wife's uncle is also looking at installing the camera on his R8 which currently has the nav etc but no camera.
It should be in there somewhere Graham - it's usually a little switch on the end of the stalk I think though not 100% on the 2016 A3.
Unfortunately I can't check out the owner's manual online as Audi don't publish PDF versions but feel free to post up a few pictures if you want me to take a look?
Not 100% sure but it might be worth giving our Owners Club Insurance scheme a try:

They usually give a good price too through the club!
I believe that in many cases Westfalia supply the bars to Audi so you need to locate a Westfalia dealer and get them to use the proper plug in wiring kit.
