Hi Dave, congratulations on the new purchase. I'm sure Saturday can't come soon enough! What spec/colour/trim level did you get?
  6. Yes you're probably right - better to go in person.
  7. Hi Dale, have you tried using a site such as 247 spares where the various scrap yards quote you? Other than that I was going to suggest being patient with ebay or whatever?
  8. Cool, make sure you post some pics up when done
  9. Wheels look good Ross. They're also not overly low profile so I imagine you get quite a nice ride from the car?
  10. Nice engine I bet that's torquey?
  11. Lovely example Andrew, best of luck with the sale.
  12. That's a shame Jim. How much are you hoping to get as it is?
  13. Haha I'm sure it can't be that bad! I guess you could try and find out a price for the part from Audi and replace it yourself? Aside from that look for a second hand part on ebay etc?
  14. Oh I see sorry to hear about your old car. Personally I would sell the seats out of your old one if you're breaking for parts? Then hunt down some newer leather to fit in the new car?
  15. Good work, glad you managed to get to the bottom of it. Sounds like you really know Audi accelerator pedals inside out now!
  16. If you're looking to work for free then I would suggest popping into your local dealerships and asking about work experience. You're probably just going to have to go and have a chat with them, and make sure you mention your knowledge of the brand.
  17. Sounds like you have a fault with the sensors to me. The sensors should always work in reverse.
  18. Hi Stuart, welcome to AOC. Must admit I do like a nice A8... got any pics? What engine/spec did you go for?
  19. The OEM units will be quite expensive and a reasonable amount of work. To get it working properly as per the factory you need to also make sure the auto levelling is working and also the headlight washers will need to be fitted. If you get all this done it will be the best possible upgrade though. Cheapest and easiest solution would be to just upgrade the bulbs for something like Osram Nightbreakers or similar. These will give a decent improvement for a fairly small cost but obviously will not be as good as xenon. The other option is an after market xenon/HID kit using your existing headlights. Also not very expensive if sourced online but a little more involved to fit. You will need to find canbus compatible ones for Audi too. This option will give a good light output but can be a grey area legally as like the OEM xenons you are meant to have auto levelling and headlight washers. They are also not designed for you type of headlight. Hope that helps.
  20. Have you decided to sell it then Jim? Probably best to upload some pics?
  21. Hi Jim, Sorry to hear about your predicament. Have you had and quotes for a replacement engine? I'm guessing you're looking at sourcing something used? You may find there is a sticker in the spare wheel well that tells you the engine code. How many miles had the car done?
  22. What happened with this Mark?
  23. Hi Tom, welcome to AOC! Got any pics of your Audis? The S4 sounds nice!
  24. My guess would be probably not as you have the newer model and will likely have different connectors for airbags etc. Why do you want to put older seats in a newer car out of interest? I would look for S3 seats or something from the same generation as yours perhaps?
  25. Hi Steve, take a look at this site as it has a few options for retrofitting oem stuff: http://www.advanced-incar.co.uk/audi-retrofits
