Yeah I must say I'm a massive fan of cruise for those situations. It's amazing how many other people really can't maintain their speed though. I'd really like radar cruise in my next car. I've tried it on a couple of cars and it works really well!
Have you tried using any other keys you may have?
I think this problem is often caused by the immobiliser coil which is wrapped around the key barrel. Could be where everything has been taken apart?
If it's just for noise and you don't want to spend too much money you could just have the middle silencer removed and replaced with straight pipe? I had this done on a different car once and actually sounded really good!
Sounds reasonably normal to me. A lot of Audi models use long life oil which is designed to burn off slightly and be topped up every now and again. What oil are you putting in?
Haha glad you got the brake light sorted. I replied to the things about the G450 in the other thread you posted. Found an interesting post on Ross Tech on the subject.
Hi Phil, interesting thread I found on Ross Tech related to the same issue - might be worth a read :)

Oh right did you actually find you used the speed limiter much then? Do you have cruise on the Audi?
The westfalia detachable towbars are pretty nice I think they make at least some of the OE stuff for VW/Audi...
Well looking at the diagram on that you need an Aux input to connect that device too. May be worth pulling out your head unit and seeing what's behind there?
The other option is if you have a cd changer socket you may be able to connect something to that?
Hi Nathan welcome to AOC - glad you're pleased with your Audi
Assuming you don't have an AMI port anywhere?
If not, it may be you can get some kind of adaptor if the head unit has a cd changer port at all?
