  1. Perhaps worth getting them to check it pre mot then?
  2. You need to see what type of system the car has when you get it. That will give you an idea of what adaptor leads/fascia you need. In terms of after market stuff, my preference would be Pioneer. May as well get something with Bluetooth too.
  3. Yes a nice upgrade from the Peugeot then! Car looks in really good nick. Has it got any nice extras?
  4. Congratulations on the purchase! Is it a new one? When do you get it delivered?
  5. Have you found the slot for the DVD or is there just no DVD in it?
  6. Just as a thought then could you not bypass the immobiliser in the pump again or have you gone too far now elsewhere?
  7. Hi Tommy welcome First Audi?
  8. Have you checked to make sure the DVD is physically in the car?
  9. Sounds like it should be the child lock unless you have the driver's door set to unlock separately from the others?
  10. I love mine - best car I've ever owned. Love driving it every time I get in it. Personally I prefer the manual one as I find it has more driver involvement. Also try and find one with all the right toys you want on it as there are quite a few options.
  11. Hmmm what a pain. I must admit I've not heard the Bose system in an A7 but usually you expect Bose stuff to be pretty reasonable.... Looking forward to hearing how you get on at Audi.
  12. Hi Kevin welcome Nice looking Audi - how are you finding the 3.0 tdi engine?
  13. I think the most common fault with this system lies with the sensors - not sure how much they cost to replace?
  14. Yes, you're right it is a little bit like that. BKD engines do sometimes suffer with turbo and flywheel issues I believe, but as you said you're more likely to see problems on forums and there are some cars out there that don't have issues.
  15. Looks pretty good to me. I wouldn't worry too much coming from an Audi dealer as you've always got the warranty to fall back on. The 3.0d is a nice torquey engine too
  16. Check the connection under the seat is properly secured but to turn it off you will need at least a hand held code reader or any garage with decent diagnostic equipment.
  17. Hi Shane, welcome to AOC Looks smart - first Audi for you?
  18. Good news - what bulbs did you get?
  19. If it's out of warranty they don't have to. If you have a full and comprehensive Audi service history at the correct intervals there is a chance they may if you push but certainly not guaranteed though...
  20. Haha, I bet you won't be getting drunk again for a while If you're prepared for the running costs though I'm sure you will love the RS6. I certainly would like one! Let me know how you get on. Found any potentials yet?
  21. Hmm, difficult to say. Seems a shame to give up no given the money you've already spent out on it
  22. Oh dear sounds like you are a bit stuck I would say a good Auto electrician is still the best place for it to be if you don't want to pay Audi prices. May be worth asking Audi about the key anyway? Surely you must have an immobiliser if the light is coming on...
  23. Could be a number of things. You need to get it plugged into diagnostics so it can point you in the right direction. Did you purchase it from an Audi dealer? Just sounds like bad luck to me and not necessarily a sign of things to come.
  24. Well it's out of warranty so technically they don't have to do anything. Clutch would not have been covered by warranty anyway, only gear box. I would probably take it but how much is it going to cost you?
  25. Fair enough - I guess the engine is similar though, is it the same output? Rear wiper - assume you have checked the fuse? Fog lights - they're not usually that bright and are more of an extra lights for bad conditions than anything else. You can always put better bulb in...
