  1. ClimAir do pretty good window deflectors - seen quite a few of those fitted.
  2. The white smoke would usually indicate water in the system not oil as that would be black. Oil pressure could be caused by too much oil. If you think there is too much oil in drain it and refill - that's a good place to start as nice and straight forward.
  3. I'm assuming you don't have a warranty as you've recently purchased it?
  4. Hi Chris welcome Looks like a nice example - 2.0 tfsi is a good engine. Not sure on the engine code - can I ask why you're specifically looking for that one? The mileage is a little high yes but it's quite common to find a good Audi with high mileage. I wouldn't write it off just yet but be sure to check it has really good history etc
  5. An SE should float your boat: http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201601240362116?quantity-of-doors=5&make=audi&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&maximum-age=up_to_8_years_old&minimum-badge-engine-size=2.0&price-to=6000&model=a3&maximum-badge-engine-size=2.0&page=1&transmission=manual&sort=mileage&postcode=bh124au&radius=1500&price-from=4000&fuel-type=diesel&search-target=usedcars&logcode=p S Lines are available in your budget but likely to be very high mileage. Can always get the 140bhp remapped too.
  6. I'm guessing the part will be about £150 - £250 plus labour. If you've only just bought it, guessing you have some sort of warranty? Where did you get it from?
  7. Hi Lee, glad to hear you're enjoying the Audi - they're easy cars to fall in love with! Any photos?
  8. Hi Alan welcome How are you finding the car so far? What did you come from?
  9. Hi Steve, looking forward to hearing the outcome - hope things improve, 37.8 does sound pretty low for a 2.0 tdi to be honest - I would be hoping for at the very lead mid to high 40's.
  10. Hi Andrew welcome Nice A1 but I'm sure the wait for the S3 must be causing some sleepless nights!

If you want to stick with halogen then something like osram nightbreaker plus are quite good. You could do a xenon upgrade kit but a bit of a grey area legally so depends if you want to go down that route.
  12. Definitely worth borrowing/trying something else on it if you can - just to rule that out
  13. Sounds like you're doing everything you can - what a pain it must be
  14. Sounds like a bargain to me considering cruise control is a really useful feature!
  15. Hi George welcome The garage are right in saying start stop will only work under certain conditions. It can depend on things like outside temperature, cabin temperature, battery charge level etc etc
  16. Do you have an alternative Audi garage from which you can get a second opinion?
  17. Worth checking rubber bushes in the suspension too as they can perish
  18. Are you looking to add a strip of daytime running lights or just change the sidelight bulb/dipped beam to a nicer colour?
  19. Meguiarrs do a headlight restoration kit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEGUIARS-G1900K-Headlight-Restoration-Kit/dp/B001O7I7FS I've used this before on other cars and it works a treat with a bit of work
  20. Welcome John Any pics of the interior?
  21. Is it manual or auto? Where did the oil leak from?
  22. Hi Byron, I think generally all modern diesels are not fantastic when it comes to reliability IF you don't do the mileage. The sort of mileage you are doing sounds OK though - what's that going to translate into per year? Make sure you avoid the multitronic auto box whatever you go for...
  23. Hi John welcome What work needs doing? Any photos?
  24. How much are we talking - have you had any quotes?
  25. Could always try having a look at the setting using VAGCOM?
