    What A5

Sounds good - best of luck with the hunt. Be sure to post some photos up when you find "the one"
  2. As I see sorry about that! Fingers crossed you get enough support together for Audi to offer a fix. Have you done anything to cover it in the meantime?
  3. It would certainly be useful to have a record of all known incidents on this thread and hopefully useful to all of you that have been affected.
  4. Yep, sadly I think that's about the only way it can be done. I do wish manufacturers would allow a little more space for changing bulbs without having to take the car to bits Let us know how you get on.
  5. The Fiesta is a nice handling car for what it is - but you've definitely taken a step up in terms of quality with the Audi
  6. I'm sure that will be a bit of a beast when it's done. You should start a build thread to keep a track of your progress!
  7. I don't believe so. You can either pick up the cheapest most basic key (valet key I think) from a dealer which is enough to program it and turn the locks so will act as a spare key for you. or some people with one key have tried to bodge it by removing the lock part and using a screwdriver etc to turn but obviously you risk breaking something.
  8. HI Elliot, welcome Sounds like you have a few issues there but at least you picked up a bargain so all is good! Are you planning on changing out the clutch to deal with the slippage?
  9. Have a look on this site: http://www.programyourkeys.com/program_car_keys_-_audi.html
  10. Now that is a good question! I bet they've been butt of a few jokes lately! Still, at least we can all laugh about it!
  11. Cool let us know. It's one of those features you don't even think about until it's -4 outside and suddenly it becomes quite useful
  12. Interesting find Nic, thanks for letting us know. Would be great if you can post up photos of the fix too
  13. Looks like we have a few on here. Perhaps it's more widespread than we first thought?
  14. Not sure on the S4 parts, I'd have thought not in my opinion but I could be wrong. I'd imagine a clutch kit would include the slave cylinder though.
  15. Have you had a quote for an engine rebuild?
  16. Pretty sure wheel arch liner removal is the way to go. May need to jack the car up and take the wheel off completely if you're having problems.
  17. Hi Shuheb welcome Is the Audi your first car or have you come from something else?
  18. Wow only just seen this thread. Unbelievable. Any more updates on this guys?
  19. Does the control model match the year of the lights? May need programming via VAGCOM etc I would think
  20. These guys do cluster repair: http://www.clusterrepairsuk.co.uk/repair/make/audi
  21. Sounds like a problem with the clutch to me? How many miles has the car done and has it ever been changed?

No worries, I'm sure you won't go wrong with a high spec TFSI... they're good engines. Do some research and don't be afraid to travel around the country for the right car once you know the age/spec/mileage/colour you're after. Often cars can be a bit cheaper up north too. If you do decide on travelling for the car though, make sure you do the deal before you go on the phone. Once you've travelled 100+ miles for a car - the dealer will know you won't want to go home empty handed.
  23. Hi Sam, welcome to the club In terms of V power diesel or any "super" fuel the benefits are generally minimal but it can work at the same cost or often cheaper than adding additives to the tank. The main benefit of these fuels is usually added detergents that help keep the fuel system clean and sometimes offer slightly better fuel economy. Seems a shame not to run on it though if the car has had it all of its life... I've seen some people talk about 2 stroke but there seems to be mixed opinions. Personally, if you're already running V power diesel that to me is enough and there should be no need to start messing around with 2 stroke oil too... just my opinion though.
  24. I'm not 100% but I think it depends if it was specified? Check in your MMI to see if there is any reference to an "auxiliary heater" there. Also double check your manual for reference of this
  25. I second that Will be interesting to see if they win the contest though. Great bit of PR to have an Audi badge on the moon. I can just see the endless advertising campaigns now.... Audi Quattro - if it's good enough for the moon, it's good enough for a wet Tuesday afternoon in the UK
