I recommend using a fuse breakout wire to get your ignition live from the fusebox. It's nice and neat and you wont actually have to cut any existing wires, plus you can always remove it and no one will ever know it was there
eBay I would think as I'd imagine Audi prices will be silly. Just take your time and unclip everything that's obviously clipped in and then try and locate as many screws as you can.
Looking at that link if you get the Bluefin handset then you will be able to remove it with that and reinstall it.
Probably best talking to superchips to see if it will be detectable. Can't think it would be a problem if you removed it before it goes in etc. Superchips also have some sort of warranty if the map were to cause any problems etc so that's worth checking out. I had a bluefin on a previous car and I can vouch for it being a good product.
That's interesting, I've heard good things about Bosch and they have a good name, but then a "good name" doesn't guarantee you a good product. That being said, I've always Yuasa batteries to be quite good.
I wouldn't think it would be the oil. I did read somewhere else that another person had the problem and traced it to the cam chain tensioner/adjuster. Also had a rattle on start up.
Hmm depends what you fancy then, personally if it were me I'd go petrol because I'm not a massive diesel fan (just personal preference though).
Then it would be between finding a late 2010 ish 3.2 V6 quattro (fairly rare model) or tracking down a high spec 2.0 TFSI
I'm down in Dorset so a little way from you in Stoke on Trent unfortunately!
I've thought about a remap but as you said on my car not a lot of power increase for the money etc.
Would definitely be interested to hear your exhaust though!
Have a read of these and they should point you in the right direction:

A good service won't be a bad place to start though judging by the state of the filter. I doubt it will clear any error codes looking at the faults you have but it will give you a better more solid car to work on...
Sounds like a bit of a beast Stacey! I bet that goes really well with the mods. Is it quite loud too with the exhaust?
Mine is pretty much standard aside from a K&N filter and a few extra LED bulbs I've installed. I don't tend to find the time to squeeze in many shows unfortunately but usually try and get to Goodwood each year if I can!
I'd have thought it was unlikely to be the aerial as they don't usually go wrong. My best guess would be the actual FM receiver in the head unit is playing up?
What type of aerial do you have? Is it hidden in the glass or is it a shark fin style on the roof?
Not sure if superchips do a bluefin for your model or not? If so, they do a handset that allows the map to be removed and reinstalled easily in a couple of minutes....
