  1. Did you see any improvement Mark?
  2. Hi Andrew welcome to AOC :)
  3. Sounds like something definitely needed a clean then! :P
  4. Welcome Laura :) Would be good to see some photos of your shiny new ride!
  5. If it's only when accelerating or going over a bump that sounds like it's either a lose connection or the sensor incorrectly detecting certain forces. As you've pulled that code surely the best place to start would be by replacing the sensor in question?
  6. Could also be the switch if affecting both headlights?
  7. Hi Vincent, unfortunately if you search a bit around google it appears that this is a fairly common problem with some B6 A4's :( I would suggest contacting the Audi dealer that replaced it and Audi UK again to express your concern etc etc and I think it's about time they sorted it for you free of charge...
  8. Good news, glad you got the problem sorted! Always satisfying when you get something sorted for a great price too :)
  9. Certainly possible and that could cause the "sliding around" noise you mentioned. Should be a nice easy fix too. Let us know how you get on at your dealer :)
  10. Hmmm, I'm not too sure to be honest James but I'd be interested to hear what the outcome is when you send it in next week. Did the second code make a reappearance?
  11. I'm assuming the genuine Audi ones are plain? The reason you are struggling to find them is that after market sellers will not be allowed to use the Audi logo due to copyright issues. Have you tried looking on ebay to see if anyone allows you to upload a custom logo?
  12. Hi and welcome :) Difficult to say on the sound without hearing it. If it actually sounds like something sliding back and forth then perhaps it could be just that, albeit something out of site? I'd try to isolate the area that it's coming from first. Once you have done this it may be a case of taking trim apart to try and find the culprit...
  13. Colin give this site a try to figure out if they will fit: http://www.willtheyfit.com/
  14. If you read online about the flashing PRNDS it quite often turns out to be the gearbox ECU
  15. Welcome Mark... Cool car I do like a nice A8 :)
  16. No worries, any ideas what you're going for yet?
  17. Can't see any photo? I assume you meant to post a photo?
  18. Sorry to hear about this Sam :( Hope you find the car and that they catch the low life(s) that took it
  19. Will be interesting to hear the results! Make sure you give it a proper blast too...
  20. If you're having the camshaft sensor done today I'd be inclined to see how that goes before you do anything else. You never know it could be related. Let us know how you get on when you get it back :)
  21. To be totally honest with you from what you've said about potential problems and no service history it all seems a bit suspicious. If it were me I'd just walk away and find another one. There are plenty of A3s out there...
  22. The DTM does have a sports exhaust as standard doesn't it so that would be making it a little noisier particularly at start up?
  23. I'd say any of these cleaners are worth a go as if they do work then it's a cheap fix. Also try running a couple of tanks of premium diesel like Shell V Power Diesel or similar...
  24. If it's to do with the turbo veins then the other option is of course replacing or reconditioning the turbo...
  25. The brake pedal will go hard if you press it a few times whilst the car is off as there is no vacuum. Your car will still be under Audi warranty so I'd get them to look at it just to be safe. The problem may/may not be related to the brake pedal as this could just be a side effect of you trying to start it a few times.
