  1. Hi Phillip welcome :) An interim service for the Q5 is currently priced at £199 on the Audi website and includes an oil and filter change, plus a written condition report.
  2. Problem now resolved?
  3. Good news - well done :)
  4. I think it depends on how far through the process your car is. You could always threaten to cancel and see what happens?
  5. You'd have thought so. I'd check and see if it was from Audi as surely then you'd have more of a leg to stand on. Plus if I were you I'd be getting the garage you bought it from to sort this out. If the button is in the car, then clearly the feature should be working right?
  6. Or perhaps the new radio they've supplied is a slightly different model number. Just because it looks the same doesn't necessarily mean it is the same. Do you know if the garage purchases the unit new from Audi or if it was a second hand unit?
  7. Hi Stuart, My personal opinion would be that if you're going to be using this regularly then invest in a towbar or roof rack. I don't personally rate rear mounted cycle carriers all that much as no matter how hard you try there is always the risk of scratching your car. Plus, you are likely to obscure your number plate and/or the lights. While the number plate is not too much of an issue as you can attach an extra one, if you obscure the lights you then need a trailer board which will need to be powered by a towing electrics socket, by which time it may be worth investing in a roof rack or tow bar anyway. Whichever system you go for, from personal experience I'd suggest the brand Thule. I popped your car into the search and it appears only their newest (but very clever) rear mount carrier fits your car anyway - the Thule Raceway 991 and 992. It's a nice bit of kit but by the time you've spent over £200 on one I'd still have put that towards a difference solution personally. http://www.thule.com/en/gb/products/carriers-and-racks/bike-carriers/rear-door-mounted-bike-carriers/thule-raceway-991-_-991000
  8. Not trying to dispute what the AA said at all, but I've never heard of anything quite like that. Are you sure it wasn't just a coincidence that the car started when the AA got to you? Got to be worth a second opinion at least?
  9. I can't see any reason why you could not fit a second hand one - or even look for someone to repair your existing amp?
  10. Yep unfortunately multitronic gear boxes are known for may problems :(
  11. Sounds like you picked a good one up there Bill and for only £300 that's very cheap! :) I think Haynes do a manual for it but it doesn't include the 2.5. May be useful for the rest of the car though?
  12. The first three letters usually indicate the country the car was manufactured in as well as the vehicle manufacturer and body style. - W is normally Germany I think. If you have the whole vin number you could put it through a vin decoder to work out what it means?
  13. Depends - having a remap will inherently put more strain on certain components as you are extracting more power etc. That being said, providing it is done by someone reputable who know what they are doing, and you take particularly good care of you car with regular oil changes and all routine maintenance etc, then there's no reason why you should have a problem.
  14. Was this an Audi dealer or an independent?
  15. That's just bad luck on the locking wheel nuts unfortunately. Fingers crossed they get them off OK! Sometimes it goes like that when trying to do a few things yourself but most of the time when everything goes well you can save yourself a packet! :)
  16. I'm assuming it was exactly the same model and the Aux worked with the old unit? If so, how did you select Aux previously? Also, why did you need to change - was the old one broken?
  17. Often manufacturers are keen to state things like "sealed for life" but many people still think it is a good idea to get the fluid changed every now and then. There's usually a way to do it but you may need to see a reputable local garage rather than Audi?
  18. Yes I'm not aware of anyone who has done it either so will eagerly be awaiting to hear how you get on if you decide to take the plunge. Out of interest have you tried speaking to Audi about this or do they say it can't be retrofitted?
  19. Yep hopefully if they are OEM Audi will be able to provide you with a new key so that you can simply remove them as usual with no messing about.
  20. To be honest I'd be tempted to pay the money for a replacement. I'd have thought you'd only be able to get a new key from Audi if your set is OEM anyway?
  21. Do you already have the DAB aerial installed then? Surely if Audi are happy with the OEM aerial then it should be good enough?
  22. Yes there is the Yeovil Audi in Houndstone Business Park. It's always worth getting a second opinion :)
  23. Have you tried refitting your original horn to see if it reverts to the first problem? Just to make sure the second hand horn isn't faulty?
  24. Make a note of a few albums that do and a few albums that don't. When you have done this take a look at some of the files on your computer to see if you can work out any correlation as to which work and which don't e.g. are they a different file format etc
