  1. Wow that's unlucky to get those niggling faults on two new cars... Audi should be happy that you are so loyal and decided to stay with the brand after that! Have you complained to Audi UK about the windscreen issue or just the dealer? If not, I'd be inclined to try the cleaning/wiper change methods and then if not try pushing with Audi UK to see if you get anywhere.
  2. Not too sure on losing network coverage whilst in the car - can't see any reason why that would happen unless you are in a low signal area. The profiles I mean are almost like permissions that the bluetooth has for each device i.e. can it do audio, calls, data etc. You can find this by going to the bluetooth settings menu and looking at the settings for the device you are trying to connect with. Probably still worth trying another phone if you can. As per the PM I sent you, I'm wondering if you're missing the sim card from Audi connect and that could be giving you problems?
  3. Yep quite a jump... Maybe if they had done a bit more to it and called it an RS8 :P
  4. No I don't believe so, the head lights and fog lights still look like the pre facelift model. You've problem got a late example of a pre facelift.
  5. Looking good! I can now see what you mean about the gap at the front... there's actually quite a substantial difference!
  6. You don't seem to have had much luck with your new car... :(
  7. It is a little strange. I suppose the only other thing if the cleaning/blades don't do it would be to push Audi for a replacement windscreen?
  8. So definitely not the fuel pump then?
  9. Hmmm strange.... and as soon as you disconnect from the car all works fine? Have you tried another phone at all? I would be inclined to also check the bluetooth profiles that are set up with the connection to the Audi. Perhaps it is trying to provide the Audi with it's connection for a Wifi hotspot or something.
  10. Very nice Jon, you can always tell a well cared for car by the state of her alloy wheels :)
  11. You could try: http://www.vwtechnics.com/ or http://www.quattro-tech.co.uk/
  12. Sorry I'm confused... are you looking to install parking sensors or an audio system? If you mean parking sensors, that's about right for a kit to be installed professionally. If you're handy yourself they're not that hard to install though, and various kits can be purchased fairly cheaply on the internet.
  13. I'm quite a fan of Meguiars products and have never really had a problem using them. Which polish have you been using as they have quite a range?
  14. Jon, if you look on parrot's website it looks like the only way to update the CK3000 is via serial cable as it's an older model now: http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/parrotck3000evolution/ The newer versions (MKi range) have USB now so much easier to update via a memory stick etc. To be fair, it's likely (though not guaranteed) that the blue box will be situated somewhere behind your head unit so it may not be as difficult to reach as you expect.
  15. Fair enough I think it's only literally just been announced to be fair. Not seen it mentioned anywhere if it's purely software or if there are any mechanical tweeks? I have to say though an extra £17k for 80bhp is quite a lot too!
  16. How did the remap go Chris?
  17. Have a read up here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A6 It's just a whole different generation (different look/mechanicals etc). You would normally be able to tell my the year but 2004 is right on the change over.
  18. Thanks James glad you managed to get it sorted B)
  19. You need to take that part out and have a look to see if there is a gasket etc or if it needs replacing. If you're not sure, take the part out and take a couple of photos of it so we can see.
  20. Seems a little odd that your wife's phone will connect and not your iPhone. So I take it your Wife's phone makes calls through the speakers exactly as you would expect? It leads me to believe that it could be an issue with your phone rather than the car. Have you tried the obvious restart the phone/turn bluetooth on/off etc and are you running the latest version of iOS?
  21. Hi Alan congratulations on the purchase, do you know if the TV you have is analogue or digital, as of course if it is analogue it will not work?
  22. So how are you finding the car?
  23. I believe the K4 comes with a variable pressure lance so you can always turn it down to be safe? If you look at that model on Amazon is clearly shows it being used on a car so I assume it will be fine. As with all pressure washers just use common sense and don't get too close to the car. Also, spraying at an angle helps too.
  24. Osram's vehicle lamp finder tool also suggests a D3S as original. I know most people tend to just change the whole headlight units when converting LHD/RHD or the othjer way round but of course this can be expensive unless you're luck to find a second hand set or someone to swap with. I'm interested to see if you managed to do it by just swapping the shields - make sure you get a guide up with photos if you manage it. Also wondering how easy it will be to source the parts and do Audi even supply them separately?
  25. I put your registration number in and it comes up with 168bhp which is about 170ps so that would be the 170 model I believe
