  1. So what are you planning to do out in Sweden? Do you have a job lined up?
  2. Were those your cars I found on that other site I linked to?
  3. I see you have already replaced the injector wiring loom but have you already replaced the injectors themselves as this is a common problem?
  4. That's a strange one! Were the iPhones belonging to the members of staff also identical iPhone 5 models? If that's the case then surely it must point to a phone issue? Have you tried backing everything up and doing a factory restore on your phone? That would probably be my next move if not?
  5. Just to confirm though, that's pretty disgusting that Bristol Audi were going to charge £300 for a 2 minute job
  6. Wow what a result! Certainly seems as if it's good to shop around when it comes to dealers! :)
  7. It's not a common problem that I'm aware of but I could be wrong. Audi would almost certainly recommend replacing the whole unit as they would say it is not a serviceable part. This would be very expensive unless you are still under warranty? If you want to have a go at repairing it, then the radio unit will need to be removed from the car and taken apart - quite a fiddly job. The other option would be to look at removing it from the car and finding a repair specialist to send it to.
  8. If it stops when you apply the brake that indicates it must be related to the braking system so that's where I would start. Make sure nothing is lose etc.
  9. It's always tough to put a price on classic cars and I must confess I would find have no idea on the value. I thought I'd do a bit of research and came across this thread on another site. Are these your cars? http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=27759 Either way, purchasing it for £50 back in 94 was a bit of a bargain I would say!
  10. Hi David, Any idea why the wind deflector wasn't fitted? Are they not meant to be standard fit when you have the panoramic sunroof? I have heard reports of rattles/creaks from panoramic roofs so I wonder if this has been removed in trying to rectify a problem? I can't imagine it being all that easy to fit as it opens and closes with the roof. Have you tried calling the next nearest Audi dealer to see if you can get a better price on fitting it?
  11. If your compressor is still active but not working properly then bagpiping andys kit is definitely worth a go before you do down the route of taking it to Audi. They're only about £25 from ebay aren't they? If that does the job it could save you a fortune!
  12. The deck lid should indeed go up. Personally I think you will need to use vagcom to can for errors in the system, as without this it could be very tricky to locate and diagnose a fault. I know common faults with these can include the wiring loom in the boot, as well as the low hydraulic fluid and the handbrake switch. Does your handbrake indicator show properly on the dash?
  13. Have you tried scanning for error codes? That would be a good place to start and could point you in the right direction?
  14. Hi Chris, welcome to the club! :) Pop some photos of the car up when you get a minute!
  15. If it's showing those fault codes relating to the lambda sensors then yes that's a good place to start. There are usually two lambda sensors, one before and one after the cat in the system.
  16. You need to keep a record of all correspondence and attempts to fix. You also need to give them a fair chance to fix faults. If you are still getting nowhere you can try going down the route of rejecting the car although this will be more difficult now it is over 6 months old. After 6 months it is down to you to prove it was faulty at the time of sale I believe and that the car is "unfit for purpose" and not of satisfactory quality. This will mean you have to stop using it while this process happens.
  17. Wow. that's a bit of a classic now. How old are those photos? What sort of condition is it in now?
  18. I was a little bored so I decided to take a look in Sweden for you and came across this: http://www.bytbil.com/bilar/audi/a4/fv8jqvvg/F0ABUDIAAYdLrSH3F1YXR0cm8v5Rf0gAAA__! (looks high spec although the 150PS version)
  19. Sorry I didn't realise! I take it no luck in finding one at a Sweedish dealer yet?
  20. Fair enough, didn't realise you hadn't picked it up yet I'm sure you can't wait to collect it, but hey it's Wednesday tomorrow so not long now! :D
  21. I think if you have the SD card slot most Audi vehicles seem to take up to 32GB SDHC in the correct size of course.
  22. Have you had the car remapped too? This is normally recommended to match the fuelling with the new improved flow rate through the exhaust. If this is not quite right it could cause the smoking issue you decribe....
  23. Nothing wrong with wanting things to be perfect - I'm just as bad! Got the polisher on it yet?
  24. Also, this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505013102981?search-target=usedcars&keywords=quattro&make=audi&maximum-age=over_10_years_old&postcode=bh236nx&page=1&sort=default&radius=1501&model=a4_avant&fuel-type=petrol&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&engine-size-cars=1-7l_to_1-9l&channel=cars&logcode=p
  25. David, it's probably becoming quite a rare beast these days but a quick trawl of auto trader and I was able to find this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505203638636?fuel-type=petrol&page=1&radius=1501&keywords=quattro&make=audi&model=a4_avant&search-target=usedcars&engine-size-cars=1-7l_to_1-9l&maximum-age=over_10_years_old&sort=default&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&postcode=bh236nx&channel=cars&logcode=p I think it matches your criteria?
