  1. I'm getting about 45 mpg for my commute to work. That's 35 miles of mixed driving, village, country lane, dual, motorway and back onto fast single Lane A roads. Still disappointing, the book promises 65 average. I've managed 50 by driving like a granny, very gentle acceleration and keeping below 60mph. 1 commute 1 way was enough of that bull. No point having 136bhp and not enjoying it when you can 😀 My 2000 plate Peugeot 406 was replaced by this A4, I was getting 50 to 55 on the same commute with that. Not overly impressed tbh.
  2. I've just got a 14 plate A4 TDI se Technic. If the AMI port is for plugging music players or memory sticks into, it's in the glove box. My car had 3 short cables loose in the glove box, an iPhone type plug on one, a female USB plug on another, don't remember what the third one is. All had a long slim connector on the other end, this is inline with the cable. The AMI connector is about an inch long by possibly quarter inch wide and is in the left corner where the side meets the top. The cable is just the right length for whatever is plugged into it to rest in that little molded in pocket in the glovebox door.
  3. You press and hold that button in. It puts the MMI system into sleep mode rather than off. But it's permanent sleep mode until you switch the MMI back on again. It'll still be in sleep mode next time you switch on your ignition. Click it like a mouse click mutes it. Press and hold switches it off. You get Audi MMI on your display screen. I also found out yesterday, that although the radio is off, your Bluetooth phone still hooks up. A mate phoned me, I was surprised when it rang out through the speakers and I could chat through the Bluetooth. The phone MMI screen opened up BTW. As soon as the call ended, the system reverted to presumably sleep mode rather than off.
  4. I dunno anything about 66 plate A6s, I recently bought a 14 plate A4. There's an update on cd for my MMI, but it's well over 200 quid for it from Audi. The geeza there said I was lucky mine was on cd, some will only update off an sd card and those are double the price 😲
  5. I've recently bought myself a 14 plate A4 SE Technic TDI, the 136 bhp version. It replaced a much loved Peugeot 406 hdi which was 18 years old with 170,000 on the clock and still going strong. Unfortunately it's bodywork wasn't keeping up so well so it had to go. I'm planning on retiring with this car and to keep it for a long time afterwards. I've got just over 6 years before I retire BTW. I'm a long distance trucker to pay the bills and a long term biker for fun 🙂
