  1. Hi Steve, the code is P0301. The code is the same, no matter what order the leads are put in the new ignition coil. I checked the leads earlier and there are no obvious faults. I'm leading to the same conclusion as you to be honest.
  2. Cheers Steve, that was my thinking but as I swapped the leads over between 1 & 4 on the coil and the issued remained on cylinder 1. That's why I changed the coil but still the issue remains on 1, if it was a lead issue I believe the code should of returned a different cylinder. Will double check the leads tomorrow when its light
  3. Hi Steve, It's a Vgate Scan for VW/Audi. I had a feeling the order was wrong so have changed the 2 end leads over so guessing 1 and 4. It's still saying cylinder 1 misfiring
  4. Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me out. Driving to work the car started stuttering as I came off a roundabout. Pulled over and the EPC and engine light came on. After attaching a code reader, it's saying there's a misfire in cylinder 1. So replaced spark plugs as 1 was black, no change. Swapped 2 cables (cylinder 1 and 2) on the ignition coil, error code still saying cylinder 1 misfire. Now changed the ignition coil as the issue didn't move with the cable. Still got the warning lights, stuttering and the code is still saying misfire cylinder 1. I'm right is thinking that left spark plug is cylinder 1 and then going right, it's 2, 3, 4. Any help would be great Car is Audi A3 1.2 2012
  5. I'm thankful you guys are helping me. I believe that is correct Gareth about the oil filter, I was told to change it as it could of collapse inside..... changing the filter is easy as it's top front on the engine. Getting to the sump was a tad more annoying due to 20 bolts holding a tray in under the engine. The filter I used was Bosch. Sensor was an aftermarket I believe, it has only 1 pin which is the same as I removed. Will change the reservoir cap before the oil pickup tube. Altho the tube isn't expensive, just seems a bit of pain to do. No smoke, to be honest I've not seen any smoke since my other half bought it a year ago.
  6. Thanks Gareth, I actually took it to a garage of a guy I've known and trusted for years. I spoke to him earlier as he found a couple of things out over the weekend. Hooked it up to his machine, no errors showing. He was surprised how the engine sounded as was expecting some noise to give him an idea of what the problem might be but all seems normal. He really has him confused. There's no smoke but will try a new coolant cap. We checked the turbo as well and that all seems good. He has suggested changing the oil pickup tube. I'm not driving the car at the moment as want to fix the issue first, the only driving that I've done is just to test it and the garage. Thanks Cliff, I changed the oil filter during the oil changed I did yesterday but still an issue.
  7. That's correct about the warning light, comes on once I go over 1600rpm so soon after i start driving which means that the coolant hasn't reached normal temp. I did notice the coolant was only just above min earlier so picked some up
  8. Hi all, I'm hoping you can help. We have a A3 1.2 2012 and the low oil pressure warning light has come on. I've change the oil pressure sensor and done an oil change, both were advised. This hasn't sorted the problem. I have noticed that the warning only happens once I hit 1600rpm. Anyone else had this issue?
