  1. Perhaps its the opportunaity for the Government to scrap the road tax in the futre and lump the cost of the EV electric charging points instead. 😉🤣🤣
  2. SteveQ - I totally agree with all your comments on the EVs and the future. I was discussing this with a colleague today who said exactly the same thing. The EV motorist in the futre is going to be stung badly. Perhaps when it happens - there will be uproar!!
  3. One point that you have not mentioned is. Do you fully charge to 100% or jst to 80%? If only to 80% then you would only get the range for 80%. Unfortunately as already said the manufacturers make so many claims about the mileage range but yet motorists are experiencing lower ranges when purchasing an EV. Perhaps as it is new, the range may increase over time with use.

    Q4 Key

Hi, I do believe that the key fob is the same as any other Audi model. Therefore you could get a key case here: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Q4+E-tron+key+case Personally I would not use a key case, but that is jusy my own opinion.
  5. Hi Steve, I forgot to watch it at the time of showing. However I watched it last night on catch up. 😀 Very interesting to say the least. Once again the Government and manufacturers have kept us in the dark about certain aspects of EVs that are being produced. Firstly in my opinion, I believe that EVs will of course be the future of motoring and will improve signifantly over the next 3 years or so. In other words they will improve on all elements of emission controls. Secondly, the charging points already in place should increase and be more accessible and actually most will work. The Government must take note of ensuring the electric charging point infurstructure is up to speed right across the country. They are aware that motorists not only drive around London and City centre but further afield. Therefore in order to accommodate the masses, the charging points must be working, otherwise this would have a signifant effect on whether the general public switch to an EV or not. Thirdly, if Hybrids are producing high levels of CO2 into the air, then in my opinion they should be scrapped otherwise it becomes a pointless exercise in emission controls. Point 4, the driving range needs to improve. If manufacturers make claims that a particular model has a range of say 358 miles, then the EV should do roughly that, give and take a few miles. If the EV does not meet those target miles, then questions should be asked by the owner and seek compensation for false advertising of mileage range. 😉 Point 5, in my opinion the battery life is considered to be reasonable if up to and slightly beyond 7 years or so. Our current conventional cars (petrol/Deisel) batteries have a recommended life span of 5 years before a potential replacement. What I find concerning is when the EV becomes a second hand purchase - how does the next owner determine how long that battery would last them before replacement kicks in. Perhaps manufacturers should introduc some form of battery report in-built within the EVs data for the owners to view. 🤔 As known, the EV's battery costs more than the actual vehicle, therefore it is important to ensure that battery life is recorded somewhere. I believe that battery costs will signifantly drop over the next 3 years ans this will allow the average motorists to afford a reasonably priced EV. 😀 Point 6. The dreaed current purchase cost of EVs. Having test drove the Audi E-Tron GT, of which is an outstanding car and I love to buy one, but that would mean my pension would be swallowed up. 🤣🤣 However at a starting price of in excess of £89,000 😲 I believe it is over expensive. Of course the running costs are much cheaper than a petrol or diesel, but that is beside the point as I may as well by a Super car instead. 😉 Finally, it is my intention to purchase an EV, preferrably an Audi E-Tron model but only in convertible/soft top format of which I have spomen to Audi UK about recently. I have advised them that a convertible model would sell like hot cakes, they agree and it would seem that one is in going into production in the near future - so watch this space!!! 😀 Regards Olu
  6. Hi, I have just checked my Audi app and my previous and current service plan with additional work is recorded without any problem. I can only suggest you log out and log back in or delete the app and reinstall it again and see whather than cures the problem. I recently had my Audi serviced and MOT and both have been updated via app. 😀
  7. As I suspected it is an annual service including an oil change, hence the cost given. An annual service would be required regardless of the mileage conducted, it would be a re-occurring service period.
  8. Hello Gareth, No apology required. 😉 I am struggling to see how an oil and filter change could be so expensive without the inclusion of a full service. I only had my Audi A5 serviced on 15 November 2021 and the full service included the oil and filter change at the Audi dealers (all approved Audi parts) and it did not cost anywhere near £255. Something appears to be unjust here. 🤔
  9. Hello Stanley, The service is not based on the mileage that you had conducted in the car. It is the overall mileage that the car has done, therefore the data records built within the car memory will advise you when the next oil and service is due regardless of the mileage that you have personally done. The price quoted, I suspect its for the oil change and service as no dealer could justify just an oil change at the cost of £255. Oil changes on their own are no more than £50 or less depending on where you go
  10. Normally if you are able to connect the bluetooth to make and receive calls, then you should be able to play your music via bluetooth too as they run on the same platform. Have you tried playing your music but going into the car's settings e.g media
  11. Hi Stephen, Pity about the insurance hence why they do not go bankrupt 🤣 All sounds good to me and I sincerely hope both your deals go through smoothly.😄
  12. Hi Stephen, I hope you get the insurance sorted. What year cabriolet you looking to buy?
  13. Hi Ross, I sincerely hope you get it resolved.😀
  14. Hi Paul, Have a look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=2016+A5+197+Quattro+S+Line+the+rear+parcel+shelf+clips+that+fasten+it+to+the+hatchback.&client=firefox-b-d&ei=4tF1YcreF8uJlwS95LbgBA&ved=0ahUKEwjK19LOgOTzAhXLxIUKHT2yDUwQ4dUDCA0&oq=2016+A5+197+Quattro+S+Line+the+rear+parcel+shelf+clips+that+fasten+it+to+the+hatchback.&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAw6BwgAEEcQsANKBQhAEgExSgQIQRgAUN5IWISTAmD9pwJoAHACeACAAXaIAYsLkgEDNi44mAEAoAEByAEHwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz Or simply ask your closest main dealer who may be able to assist you.
  15. Hi Ross, In reference to your noise. Perhaps just check the locking wheels nuts as if loose can make those type of sounds. Other than that I can only suggest you have the suspension components checked. Also sometimes a small stone caught in the tyre tread can make those sounds you describe.
  16. Hi Stephen, I would suggest you test drive each model to experience the power difference in real terms. I have always drove manuals and my Audi A5 cabriolet is the first automatic and I can assure you that it is very good indeed.
  17. Brian, If you have the chance .. test drive the Audi E-tron ..... it has no lag with bullet speed. 🤣
  18. Hi Brian, Like you I get extremely upset with stone chips and scratches caused by the local cats keep sitting my car 🥵 I have tried everything to prevent them from stop them from jumping/sitting and sliding of it .... it is so annoying to say the least
  19. Hi Sarah, Very nice plate and I sincerely hope that you find a good home for it. 😀 If you do not find a buyer within the reasonable about time ... you can always surrender it back to DVLA https://www.gov.uk/personalised-vehicle-registration-numbers/give-up-private-number
  20. Hi guys, Please accept my apology as unfortunate I will not be able to attend as an domestic emergency has come up. 😲 Anyway, have a great event and I look forward to any pictures you post up 😀
  21. Thank you Trevor.......and I have printed it of for display.
