  1. Hello, I’ve added this to my last and most recent A6, there are two types, one now has the brake light included and the old one was a solid strip when the lights came on. Do you know which one you have? Also, no coding required. jenna
  2. Steve, sounds like what I was experiencing and got use to even after my software update (although the update did improve the lag), I will check what software my new A6 has when it arrives, I covered 50K + miles in two years in my old A6 c8 Avant, the hesitation was there from say 30mph when you wanted to move quickly, however, I got use to this and adapted my driving so didn’t give it a second thought, I drove my car in comfort mode mostly, if I knew I was going to get my elbows out then I switched to auto or dynamic and the car responded instantly. As I say, it wasn’t an issue for me as the A6 is a limousine most if time and then a high performance machine when required, clearly didn’t bother me as I’ve ordered another one! Hope this helps Jenna
  3. Hi Steve, Does your new 50TDI hesitate at pulling away? Reason why I ask is I thought this was resolved through an ecu update back in 2020. I have a new 50TDI Vorsprung being delivered on 1st March so was hoping there was no reoccurrence of this issue of old. My previous 50TDI had the update and this was a notable improvement. I thought 4K0907401F was the latest update,… Jenna
  4. Correction - it’s 23CK
  5. Hello Wookes63, AlexR, et al, I see there is a new Gearbox update from Audi available! This is in addition to the 2053287/11 ECU update most of us had last year on our 50tdi’s, the new update is called CK23 - anyone had this update yet? I hear it’s by batch number, I am going in for a service in 1000 miles time so will enquire, reading some feed back appears to be the fix we have been looking for!
  6. Like Alex, my car is mostly in comfort but I have got use to changing the gearbox into sport mode as I approach the roundabout, it’s not an issue to me as the pull away problem has now been fixed, I still get the lag at around 30mph but I’m ok with it as what I lose in lag I get back with smiles from the acceleration! As the nights are drawing in now I was reminded how fantastic the HD Matrix lights are, it’s like daylight was back as I entered a dark country road, the curtain parting lights from the centre outwards was awesome and arguably the best LED’s on the Market, also added the 4 ring door puddle lights, these are such conversation point in garages and car parks etc, get yourselves some of these if you don’t have them already, 30 seconds to swap out but get the genuine Audi ones! Wookes, I have not had the camera issue you mention above, although I was in the hand car wash the other day where the boys use the all over foam (not sponge) and noticed on the MMI these white glass symbols being held by a hand half tilted with water droplets pouring downwards over all the cameras, they look like the Cadbury choc advert white glass - bazaar! I went up a no entry by accident the other and this loud large no entry sign lit up the Virtual cockpit, scared the life out of me, amazing, I didn’t even see the signs. I have noticed since the MMI update that my Maps seem to be continuously updating (symbol top right on MMI) and when I have google maps on the screen on the MMI and get a WhatsApp message along the bottom, the MMI flickers off and back on again when the WhatsApp message disappears off the bottom, it does not happen if you have Waze on in Apple car play mode though. Still all good with the car though, had the Merc’s etc, Audi for me every day👍
  7. My fan does the same, go out for even a short drive and there it goes spinning away, think it is the DPF doing its thing so the fan keeps every thing cool. Went night fishing last night, positioned the car along side my bivy, once the bite alarms went off, landed the fish and hit unlock on the remote and those wonderful headlights lit up the whole lake, hit the unlock a couple more times, just enough to turn the carp around and let her go! Must be the best leds out there!
  8. Tommo1, Wookes63 and I have added photos earlier in the thread so you should see the software loadings as described above, If you get no Joy with your dealer, speak to Luis at Five Oaks Audi (Harwoods) he will sort you out. He knows all about it, just reference me (Grant) and he will mirror my update for you! Go well
  9. Yes, just use point 2 as this is 100% accurate, use the photo’s in this thread to support your enquiry showing the new software installed, ask them to show you what software yours has and then demand you receive the same as others have as administered by Harwoods and Caffyns Audi, if they refuse, then tell them they’ve lost your business and go elsewhere.
  10. Wookes63 same as you, I still get the lag when looking to accelerate around 30mph, although in Dynamic it responds a lot quicker and if you use the paddles even quicker. My garage are wanting my car in so they can experience the issue and help resolve, they are offering a courtesy car too, I will be taking the car in when back from holiday.
  11. Vote with your feet and take your business elsewhere, do you have a Harwoods or Caffyns near you? If so, let me know and I’ll give you some contacts to speak to who will advise what works were carried out on our cars. Cheers
  12. Hi MartinLHW I had an engine management light come up on my Audi A4 3.0 (B9), it was out of warranty so i plugged in my OBDeleven and it advised it was the NOx sensor same as yours, my car had covered 85k miles so thought things might start to go wrong, reason for mentioning this is, i took both the NOx sensors out (both are on top of the engine) cleaned them with Carb cleaner put them back and problem solved, i then reset the engine management light using my OBD device. Strange that you are getting this playing up so early, best snerario is that the NOx sensor is faulty, if not you may be burning to reach a fuel and the Nox sensor is getting bunged up with the burnt emissions (soot) running through your cat converter. Let’s us know how you go.
  13. Good on the ta, if you get stuck. Give me a ring
  14. Ok thanks Martin, let me know cheers
  15. Just a quick update on the ‘slow to accelerate’ issue, the above TPI that’s required is as above 2053287/11 but more importantly, this is an Engine ECU update and not a gearbox update as such, the software update is 4K0907401K, I have looked into this using my OBD11 Dongle (snap shot attached showing the latest software has been uploaded) and had this verified by two Audi garages, i am also pleased to say that when you drive in Auto or sport there is a difference in pulling away and changing up and down through the gears, i was driving in comfort mode before and this setting all though improved is still a more sedate driving experience. Martin, do you have an OBDeleven device as you can check instantly if you have the latest software installed as per the attached? The car also feels better each time i drive it and Audi confirmed this is also due to the car getting used to my driving characteristics, anyway, hopefully this is the end of my issues i have been experiencing as described above. AlexR many thanks for your support on this.
  16. Thanks Alex, Much appreciated
  17. Hi Martin, I spoke to Audi today, I was advised that you need to inform your dealer you have a ‘slow to accelerate’ when pulling away concern with the car. I believe this is not a recall, however, if a delay is experienced then there is a software update available - in other words you need to be persistent and demand they drive the car to understand the problem. I was advised the TPI (Technical Product Information) code is 2053287/11, i was also advised to switch off my stop/start system as this can be over enthusiastic and may need adjusting, I tried this and the car did appear to pull away better, my car is being crossed checked with AlexR’s car to ensure I’ve got the same update as his, once I hear back I will let you know.
  18. Much appreciated Alex, Please let me know when you’ve made contact and I will contact Caffyns and of course will update on the findings, Wookes63, I will find out as much as I can reference the software fix to hopefully assist you too.
  19. Hi Alex, I think you are correct, I managed to speak to the Workshop Manager (Russell) at Caffyns Audi Eastbourne, he was very helpful, i mentioned you had had the ‘drive off’ gearbox update done and that you felt the car drives a lot better. Russell advised that if you could call him and give him your Registration number he can then cross reference my software with yours and then carry out the same update, would you be kInd enough to oblige? Number is 01323 344062 Please let me know, If this works then no doubt Wooks63 and others could follow up accordingly. Many thanks
  20. Hi Wooks63 I do not believe it is in the MMI however, I may stand corrected on this, AlexR appears to have seen a significant difference so I am homing in on what works were carried out on his car, unless Alex was experiencing what we are now and his car was a lot worse than ours to start! I have tried to contact Caffyns Eastbourne but to no avail, AlexR, can you confirm who you spoke to or do you know who the Technician was that worked on your car? cheers
  21. Thanks Alex, I am waiting for the Technician to come back to me confirming what has been done (Mon), i might take it to Caffyns in Eastbourne (not answering the phone at the moment) if the reply is not what i want to hear. Wooks63, I hope you have a feeling of ‘all your Christmas’s have come at once’ - let us all know when you can
  22. Hi, yes had update done, however, I think it’s improved but only slightly, it’s not transformed the car that’s for sure, sometimes I think that’s an improvement and sometimes I think nah this is not any different to before. They advised that it did not upload the first time of trying so I am wondering if it has been uploaded on the second attempt. I am going to have it checked again as there is still hesitation, some of the other guys are claiming a remarkable improvement, I’m not, Wooks63, be good to hear your thoughts, manage your expectations in advance as mine were, no hesitation and as soon as you hit the throttle, whoosh you were away, alas, this is not the case. I will let you know once I get it rechecked
