Hi unless you have the facilities to dismantle the head light you will have to get a second hand or aftermarket unit as I guarantee the DRL unit is very difficult to obtain, that was the problem I had, just make sure the replacement has the same part number as it will still have to be coded to the car. Steve.

HI like Cliff said do a web search for fuel pipe manufacturers and try them.

Drive system Fault - air flow sensor/ Ad-Blu pump flow rate
Stevey Y replied to Optimus's topic in Audi A6 (C8) Forum
Hi dont hold your breath it will get worse as they are trying to exterminate fossil fuelled models, the pump situation is just spiteful because we are out of the E.U., there are loads of units available in Germany, Ebay are doing a roaring trade with any company in Europe that is advertising them they soon run out, we are that starved, my local garage deals with just about every brand of car and the only brand they have trouble getting major parts for is Audi, Peugeot two days to get a screen camera for the lane assist, Audi possibly three months they are not sure, I know for a fact I wont buy another one while this situation persists. Steve. -
Hi there is not enough Pigs on the planet to cater for our needs, its actually a granulated fertiliser that is a synthetic but behaves the same way converting Nox 1 into Nox 2 [inert], thats why when Vlad the Impaler invaded Ukraine the supplies started to dry up so the Chinese the other mass producer decided to jack the price up. Accelerator pedal not stiff enough, foot at rest accelerates
Stevey Y replied to BetterZoomHome's topic in Audi Q3 Club
Hi have any of your relatives got an old Dell or IBM they want to get rid of thats how I run mine and to be honest when I got it I have not been anywhere near a dealers since 2019 and if I am honest between VCDS and OBD Eleven there is not much you can't do yourself both systems have saved me a fortune probably six times what I paid for both systems and the handy bit about OBD is you can keep it in the glovebox, its tiny, for when you are out on the road as it runs on your phone. Accelerator pedal not stiff enough, foot at rest accelerates
Stevey Y replied to BetterZoomHome's topic in Audi Q3 Club
Hi its probably the TPS on the pedal has some wear have you plugged it in for faults you can usually find what's wrong with the pedal sensor on live data as if you hold the pedal in one position you can see the voltage disc moving on its own. -
2017 2.0 S Line Diesel - Auto Box - Lag.

Hi they dont reset the gearbox after a service especially if its a dealer service, its something you have to ask for so they can charge you a shedload more money for it, same as software updates, my assumption based on your milage is that it would need a reset as that removes all redundant info from the gearbox control so it re learns its values with what is now a gearbox with milage wear, best find an independent that have the capability to perform this task it will cost you less. Steve. -
Why the diagnostic?, its obvious visually why there's a problem, technically you can only back the vehicle as unfit for purpose if its a recent purchase, I used to be a firm fan of Audis but their breathtaking lack of customer service and overcharging for parts has changed my view, even the parts guy at my local VAG dealers remarked on the widening gap between the rest of the group and Audi with the pricing structures, this is because of the abject failure of their electric models of which they have suspended production a few times, these cars have had more expensive problems than their fossil fuelled cousins and actually cost less to produce, allied to the statement that they were going to concentrate more as a luxury car producer that immediately ironed out sixty percent of the potential market but with all the problems with the premium electric vehicles the forty percent market is not as keen as they first thought. Hi if its had a service it might just need a reset, you don't mention how many miles you have done since the service? Steve. -
Hi Gareth the Hall Sensor is the electronic pick up for the electronic ignition it picks up the metal shafts high points in the middle of the distributors driven shaft, if he can't find one he could try Lumenition as this works on light optics and the beam is broken by a fan type blade that sits just below the rotor arm, this type of system also negates any lateral wear on the distributor shaft. Steve.

Hi get the part number off of the unit then go on ebay probably loads of them as they are probably fitted to lots of models in that year or alternatively find a reconditions in your area and get your one refurbed. Steve.

Cluster problem help!!!! Anyone had this before AUDI RS3
Stevey Y replied to Robertomal1's topic in Audi RS Club
Hi it looks as though someone has interfered with it as I suspected when the word eprom was mentioned it normally means its something that the monitoring system has found and doesn't like, you haven't had the car remapped have you? Steve. -
Got the (well documented) servo restricted message.

Hi the only thing that makes any sense is the booster fault, the rest in red we will never know as you can't open them up to see what the event was, glad to see they have not lost their grabbing sense of humour with the brakes etc, I would get an independent view of the other parts. Steve. -

Stevey Y replied to Robertomal1's topic in Audi RS Club
Hi if you look at the time and date of these codes they are one time and best policy would be delete them and see if they return and then start worrying. Steve. -
Hi it could be a faulty temperature sensor these are not monitored and wont throw a code, it is bit of a difficult thing to diagnose as there is at least two of them, one of them should be near the thermostat housing. Steve.

A5 Sportback 35 TDI S Line
Stevey Y replied to fishingross's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
Hi the model you have is fitted with the standard sound system which to my mind is more than adequate, if you want more speakers you will have to add them and as for sub woofers they are normally fitted under the boot floor where there used to be a spare wheel, still I suppose you can always sit there at half past stupid waiting for the recovery to arrive, with your tunes cranked right up. -
Hi sounds like valve gear rattling, unless you have a healthy bank balance AVOID, it sounds like a diesel. Steve.

Hi Gents, I think I have the answer to my handbrake just letting go back in January, I was talking to a guy the other day he was a claims assessor for Direct Line we were discussing the world of Audi and the subject of my handbrake failure came up, complete coincidence but that was what he was going to view, an A4 that had rolled across the company car park where the guy worked and terminated a Fiat 500, [two weeks old], I asked if this was common and he replied yes its due to the battery, the A4 was just four years old and apparently at about that age anything using AGM batteries can have a sudden voltage drop and the handbrake comes off, the manufacturers are aware of this and therefore use EFB batteries which are a lot tougher and not prone to this anomaly on new models. Steve.

Hi Alan sorry for the late reply, my cab has been rammed at the rear by some lunatic in a BMW and I have been wading through the iniquities of insurance, anyway when changing anything to do with cam timing I have found it best policy to change any seals or associated parts merely to negate any problems after bolting the the thing back together, especially when age of rubber parts may be bought in to the equation. Steve.

Hi I have used this system before, it is better on older cars but I have found it struggles on newer vehicles often as not because it wont show underlying problems. Suggest using a more modern manufacturer specific platform, OBD Eleven or VCDS. Steve.
-
Hi Jake which software platform are you using as this will have a bearing on clearing codes generic systems often as not will not clear codes/lights. Steve.

Hi Adrian don't be nervous as far as your concerned you have bought another Audi and don't need this one squeeze them for as much as you can get, we buy any car are parasites. Steve. -
Hi you wont regret ordering the OBD eleven it has about the same capabilities as VCDS at third of the price, okay the tokens bit is a pain sometimes but in my opinion its interrogation capabilities are slightly better and coding is a lot simpler, your son sounds very tech savvy and will soon surround that system, always though the door to the forum is always open should you encounter any problems and I and the others will always try and put you on the right path to a solution. Steve.
