My thoughts were something like that but surely the garage would have checked those, there is also a slight knock sound when I brake. It drives perfectly with no noises, dosnt veer off neither.

Yeah that ended up been the metatronic unit. £4500 later..sorry i didn't update.

Need help, had my car into 3 garages and can't sus the problem, a quite loud knocking and banging when turning backwards and forwards at slow pace. This started happening after I had a metatronic unit replaced at an audi specialists. Took straight back and they said they couldn't find a problem. It's now getting worse. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated

Just out of interest the gearbox was mapped last year, could that have caused a problem cheers

Hi, hoping someone can help with an issue I've been having with my rs5. Happened a few times lately, when driving steady in 7th and then put the foot down the clutch seems to slip as in revs high. The other day did it three times and on the third time the tpms light came on and the computer said gearbox malfunction then no reverse light came on. Couldn't change any gear up or down. I pulled up turned the ignition off then back on then all ok. Just hoping it's nothing to major, is there anyone that could point me in the right direction. Cheers steve
