  1. Thanks Gareth, update posted.
  2. Sorry when I say seized I mean the distributor was very hard to get out, and the circular dish cover over the hall sensor is stuck on currently. The gear is all fine
  3. Thanks all for your good advice, I have now had an auto electrician look over it and he confirmed dead distributor. I have spent several hours and a tin of WD40 getting the blasted thing out so I’m now armed with the part number. A friend of mine has suggested I could possibly replace just the hall sensor?? Just got to get to it now as everything seems seized!
  4. My coupe suddenly won’t start, no spark. Tried new coil and amplifier switch, still no joy. It has been starting fine and just suddenly won’t?? Am I missing something? (Probably)!
  5. Hello, Does anyone know where to find parts for older Audis? looking for a amplifier switch (near coil) for a 1990 Coupe E. thanks
  6. Around 31/2 yrs, was my elderly neighbours but he couldn’t drive anymore so it’s been sat in a garage for almost 10 years! Just looking for a guide to its value as it’s taking up space I need back. thanks.
  7. I have owned this for about 3-4 years, bought it from my elderly neighbour who couldn’t drive anymore and garaged it for about 8 years, previously owned by his son.
  8. Thinking of selling my 1990 Coupe E, looking for some guidance on value if possible. 180k miles, starts and runs fine, been sat in garage for several years, original wheels, manual replaced gearbox. Tired interior and age related scratches on body but solid, no rust.
  9. So there appears to be two diff rubber seals, one each side of window which are intact (abt 18mm wide), these appear ok. I imagine glass sits on top of these with bonding to side of it. The other is the one that appears to run across the top edge and down both sides (10mm w), this is now in three pieces! It has a slight groove maybe where glass sits in it? So this is the one in question, what does it actually do/do I need to replace it? From my orig pic of car before window came out this rubber isn’t visible! I’ll inc pics.
  10. Thanks Greg, I will try and find a replacement online somewhere? Is yours visible around the glass? Mine didn’t appear to be!
  11. Hi, does anyone know if there is meant to be a full all round rubber seal for the back window of a 1990 Audi coupe? I have taken window out to re fit and there appears to be a top and bottom rubber seal amongst the bonding?? I presume it’s meant to have a rubber trim all round? thanks.
  12. Thanks for reply, I was thinking the obvious place to attach it was onto the end of the lever over the barrel / pin but it doesn’t fit on to it. I checked bottom of door for any bits but nothing. Good idea about checking other door tho! thanks again. Pete
