I was hoping someone might of actually bought joints and could forward a suppliers details but looks like nobody has ...and I would of thought responding to a reply is acknowledging it...only advice I was given through a sarcastic reply was to try parts in motion which I'd already tried plus various others which I stated...I'm a member of two other car clubs and have never been spoke to like the comments I've had on here

Don't worry about it...I've repacked the one's on the car with fresh grease...I emailed parts in motion plus many more with the car details and they said they have nothing nothing...think the car is a one off concerning parts for it as it's already had a rear wheel bearing/hub where one listed for a s1 wouldn't fit...the wheel stud pcd was different so had to go to main dealers and recently got some rear brake discs for it...wouldn't fit for the same reason

Tried a couple of auto factors that have tried all there suppliers with no luck...only place that has them is a firm called tps...main dealers only sell the complete shaft

Has anyone bought outer cv joints for a s1...only found one place local to me in Nottingham that can supply them at a hefty price of £415 each plus vat...any other suppliers anyone knows of would be great

Pretty sure it's not a belt problem...the noise is coming from the engine...possibly air sound under pressure escaping...I've ordered a stethoscope to see if that helps to pinpoint it

Had fault code p227900 come up on my 2015 rs6...says its a air leak ...management light been coming on for about a week...however now when the car has warmed up on tickover its making a high pitch squeal...goes off when you drive it or when the engine is under load comes back on at tickover...has anyone had this before...says it could be between mass air flow meter and the secondary 02 sensors...cheers

Didn't have time to ring them and I've only just finished work so no chance of getting in touch...you feel free to contact them and pass on what they say..and i dont want to be listening to someone baffling me with science about the technical spec of some oil for 10 mins just want to know what to put in it

Hi Gareth.. I've not had the car long enough to change the oil yet but ideally would be changing it once a year..this is the 3rd rs6 I've had since march..the first one after I'd bought it i noticed a lot of faults with the body work..grommets missing on the doors which on closer inspection turned out it had a lot of panels changed on it so that put me off it so had to get rid of it..bought the second one then realised afterwards it wasn't type approved to tow with as i tow a caravan due to it having different suspension system compared to the 1st one..so I'm on the 3rd which is type approved to to with complete with audi towbar so hopefully I'll be keeping this one! Its just had a full service in Feb so wont need doing till next year..i will email.castrol oil and see what they say about the oil

Yes it's just got a little confusing...says in handbook 502 00 which was what i purchased on ebay..when it came it had 505 00 on the back...so i msgd the seller saying this wasn't what i ordered.. sent them the reg number and asked if it was suitable..took them ages to reply and they said it was ok to use but I dont think it is...according to google on vw oil specs 505 range is for diesel engines so dont think it is the right oil

What spec oil does a 2015 rs6 require..planning on changing it yearly..had various options advised..says 502 in the book but had 507 suggested...bought some castrol 5w40 edge off ebay..it said 502 on the listing but when i got the oil the spec on the can is 505 00/505 01..contacted the supplier and they say it's ok to use..its a bit confusing now..can anyone answer this..cheers

Yes that's correct I've found out the hard way by not checking..I towed with a 2013 model with adaptive air suspension and naturally thought the newer one with drc would be the same but I was wrong...any how I removed the cylinders to fit the bar and repositioned them under it to get me away this last few months but its time now to take the bar off and sell the car and buy one that Is type approved for towing..I went through dvsa..vca and even audi to see if there was a way round it but there isn't..so do your checks first and don't get caught out like I did

Hi..can anyone tell me what the mass vehicle weight is on a 2013 c7 rs6 avant..its the second number down in kgs on the vin sticker so i can calculate what it can tow as thinking of buying one..thanks
