  1. Hi Trev. Is the cable you are using tethered to the charger? If yes go to another charge point and use the cable that came with the car to see if it does the same thing. If it is not tethered go to a tethered charger and use that cable to see if you still have the problem. That will tell you if it is the car or the cable.
  2. My GT does that if it is on a slight slope. I do as Cliff suggests and left foot brake. It seems that the drive does connect straight away. I have got used to it now. Of course if it is on a steeper gradient the auto baking system should have taken over.
  3. I've got to be honest with you I only charge my GT about every 3 weeks. I have had the car 21 months and have now done 4000 miles. you chaps are probably doing that every couple of months.
  4. I am fairly old skool with apps and such. But mine seems to operate correctly. The Audi app and the OHME app. Do you think that when it shows 0% it means that is 0% of the charge selected and the 100% means it has charged 100% of it's selected 80% charge. if you understand what I mean.
  5. Hi Paul Sorry to hear you have all these problems with your OHME charger. I had problems with mine initially with voltage fluctuations and charging faults. After speaking to OHME I fitted a voltage surge protector and had the usual 60amp household fuse upped to 100amp (the car was drawing 30amp when charging) and I have had no more problems for nearly 2 years. The Apps seem to running OK as well.
  6. And it is on a Saturday
  7. I notice that the "early bird" tickets are on sale for this years Simply Audi. It is on Saturday 20th September.

    VED Taxation

When you look at it like that we have not done bad.

    VED Taxation

Possibly found a loop hole for all of us with 100% electric vehicles. Mine will need it's VED tax renewed in June. That means that it will attract the new taxation class and possible the luxury car tax as well, which starts in April. There is nothing to stop me from renewing by March 31st at zero VED and getting almost another year at zero rate until March 2026. I will try it anyway.

    Keyless Entry

I think it needs putting on their computer in case there is something amiss. It goes in on the 11th March. At least it will get a free valet.

    Keyless Entry

I really don't know what to make of my car. I threatened it with the sack and it has self healed itself. Everything is back working again.

    Keyless Entry

I will. The worrying thing is Cliff that next year all these gremlins and bits become mine when the warranty expires.

    Keyless Entry

Yes, I did know that. I was wondering if that was the cause of these electrical gremlins. It is going into Audi shortly to to get sorted.

    Keyless Entry

Got some thing else now. I did a fairly long run yesterday approx 70 miles, this morning I have "Low Battery Charge. Will Charge when driving" This isn't the traction battery as I have 170 miles in that, it must be the 12 volt system.

    Keyless Entry

I been having trouble with the keyless entry for a couple of weeks, now it has packed up altogether. I can only open the car using the key, also the foot actuated boot release is not working. Probably same cause. Also I can't keep the offside charge flap closed. It will close if I hold it shut and lock the car but as soon as I open the car again the charge flap opens. Also Audi didn't delete the last recall from the MMI so it keeps telling me to get it done. So all these bits are driving me crazy. Booked it in now to Audi S.E. before anything else crops up.
  16. Cliff is quite correct in saying it takes as long to charge from 80% to 100% as it does to charge to 80%. Audi suggests that you don't charge beyond 80% though. Sounds to me it is a problem with the car also.
  17. You could discuss the pro and cons of Electric, Diesel, Petrol, Hydrogen for ever. But for one that owns an electric car I am more than happy with it. It is quiet, good looking and extremely rapid, economical to run and I get a thrill every drive I drive it.
  18. I accept that electric cars are not as green as people think. But, I am sure they do go some way towards helping the environment. As to the fire risk your ICE car sits on the drive with probably 10 gallons of highly flammable fuel in the tank. With regard to turning off the chargers so we can't recharge, how many of you queued for hours for fuel when Russia invaded The Ukraine,
  19. I think that's what made it all the sweeter because it was unexpected.
  20. Hi I wrote to Audi UK,, not complaining, but just to explain my surprise at all the recalls for the GT recently, and also not being able to get a courtesy car because of my age. I had a very nice e-mail back saying that they would look into this for me. They came back to me telling me that they couldn't help with the courtesy car as it was Audi's S.E. policy but they may be able to help in other ways. They telephoned me recently to make certain all the work had been done and I was satisfied with the car once again. They then said that Audi UK will pay for my next service for the inconvenience I have had. As the last service was £600+ thanks very much. I have a letter of confirmation which has been safely filed away until needed in 2026.
  21. Got the car back today. After it's last recall. So they had the car for 8 days this time. In 6 weeks I have only clocked 207 miles. I tried to find out what they actually did. It was a battery module check, where they have to monitor the traction battery over a number of days. Mine passed OK. I wonder how long before I get another recall?
  22. Hi James When I had my A6 I think the sump capacity was about 8 litres not quarts. Tony
  23. Hi Jessica I had exactly this problem with a BMW I had. Lumpy running and cutting out. The problem on this occasion was that when I had topped up the engine oil I had cross threaded the oil cap which allowed air to get into the system. Being a sealed system it was causing the MAF sensor to give incorrect info to the ECU. Just a thought. Tony
  24. The E Tron GT is a very wide car. 7 feet between the mirrors. I scuffed the offside rear wheel in a multi story car park the other day. As I have already had the wheels refurbed by Audi because of corrosion when the car was new they cannot be done again. So I purchased a another wheel. Managed to get a second hand one in perfect condition with a worn tyre at a reasonable price. I now know why there is no spare wheel. There is nowhere to put it. This rear wheel is so wide it only just fits in the boot. It took two blokes to put it in, not sure how to get it out yet.

  25. Hi John On my app I have a "All Functions" feature. Tap there and I get Theft and Location. Tap there and status image appears. I don't know what happens next if there is an alarm or attempted theft. Tony
