  1. Hi Kevin

My E Tron GT went in for the same recall last week. Plus two computer upgrades.  Audi kept it for a week but they said the high voltage heater takes along time to replace, nothing regarding the brake hoses. Got it back last Saturday and I must admit that the brakes are a lot more positive now. I hope you get it resolved soon.

  2. Hi

Just collected the car from Audi South East. Running so smooooooooth. All work completed, haven't noticed any different really. But Audi have been very understanding regarding the lack of courtesy car. No charge for changing the brake fluid and also gave me 15% discount off the invoice. so we are best friends again.

  3. Just thought I would give you an update. Audi South East just telephoned, car should be ready for collection tomorrow pm. That's five days to do the recalls and service.

Glad it's been sorted. Did they say why the heater needed to be changed. The flexy hoses is a worry too.

Too old for a courtesy car?! Surely that's a hate crime on age grounds?

Against the human rights act 1998 and equality act 2010.

Not sure why the heater is being changed, but they said that there has been a few instances of the brake hosed cracking.

  5. Hi

Just taken the car into Audi South East for it's recalls and service inspection. The recalls are = 1. Replace high voltage heater. 2. Replace flexible brake hoses, 3. Computer upgrade. 4. MMI upgrade. Also no courtesy car supplied as I am too old for their insurance. Getting used to things being taken away from me this year.

  6. Hi Steve

I haven't got a clue what goes on when I switch the Audi on. I bought my E-Tron GT initially for pleasing shape and performance. In my mind there is not much to go wrong with the car, accepting the braking and steering systems there are only two moving parts. The motors. I accept that the electronic systems must be very complex but most of the ICE cars these days are similarly complex. I do wonder sometimes what it is going to be like in the years to come with 70k - 100k miles on the clock.

  7. I think you should remember that is the point. The car is only a year old, the E-Tron GT model has only been in production for around 2.5 years so I would expect some mods. or tweeks to the vehicle. But saying that it does make you wonder what the recalls are. I will find out later this month.

  8. Just had Audi on the phone telling me that my car has 4 recalls to be done. 2 of which they have never done before. They need the car for at least 3/4 days to complete these. So, date put back from the 7th to the 21st October so they can give me a courtesy car. Just makes you wonder what needs doing.

  9. Hi Will

I am surprised that the OHME app doesn't over-ride everything. If have scheduled anything. To comply with Government Regulations OHME won't charge at peak hours. 4pm to 10pm  This setting is only ignored if you enable Dynamic Charging or switch to Max Charge. I use Max Charging all the time. Hope this helps.

  10. HI Nikolay

Looks like you have found something. It is possible your layout is different to mine. I can only tell you where mine is on my GT.

Switch on MMI. Scroll to Display/Brightness. Click. Up comes Audi Virtual Cockpit.

  11. HI

Just had a message on the Audi app for a recall on my GT. It is Campaign 82C9- Replacing high-voltage heater. Just wondering if anybody else has received this.

  12. Hi Paul

My keyless entry is a bit hit and miss. I can never open it via keyless entry at the golf club. I am sure it is something to do with the with the wireless security cameras blocking the signal. With the key in my pocket I put my thumb on the indentation on the door handle and it opens.

Mine is going in to have some minor warranty work done next month ( broken boot lock cover) they are going to give it an inspection service as well. I will let you know the cost.
