  1. Had the exact same issue with my 2010 Audi A4 Avant 2.0 tdi 143bhp a few years back. Ended up having to change both thermostats to sort issue out.
  2. For what's its worth I had same car, same year, same issue. Kept topping up and car was fine in sense it drove perfectly . All i needed to do was top up regularly. Until one Sunday driving to the Peak District and it literally went bang without any warning and into limp mode. Long story short needed a complete engine rebuild. Didn't want to pay Audi prices (more than value of car at the time) and absolutely loved the car so tried all sorts with supposed Audi "experts" who often made matters worse. Learnt a lot from this experience so not all bad. In end i traded it in for a newish car at main dealers, with the half sorted problems, so got a little bit for it but nothing like i would have if if it was a fully working car. I know car prices have shot up so maybe worth being pre-emptive and getting the issue fixed as it maybe worth it, because as i found out once it goes bang, there is a lot of collateral damage too. Repairing that will cost a lot more. But this was a few years ago and once I'd gotten over the mental trauma of the long and painful experience, ended up buying an Audi again but this time i bought a diesel and kept it cheap(ish) just in case. But got to say (touch wood) the TDI has been exceptional. It was only meant to a stop gap car, but hanging on to it for as long as i can!
  3. Can't comment on the Nightbreakers but I was shocked at the OEM's on my A4 and changed to Twenty20 Daylight +200%. Got to say made a massive difference. Could actually see the road in front of me! Almost 2 years later they are still going strong.
  4. That looks like an awesome job. Well done!
  5. Can i ask, has anyone ever noticed an improvement in the mpg after a remap or is the idea of more power AND greater efficiency just a myth?
  6. Yep. I've just had my (to date Audi Main Dealer serviced) car serviced by my trusty local mechanic that i've used for many years. I was there with him as he carried out the service. The filters removed were absolutely disgusting. Full of what can only be years of crud. According to my service book, Audi 'serviced' the car last year and filters were changed. Absolute garbage. My mechanic was also convinced the fuel filter had never been changed. Ever. Despite what the service book said!
  7. Hi, you mean you unlock central locking by pressing button on drivers door, but boot still doesn't open when you go to physically open it, unless you use your fob? (i'm assuming you don't have a powered boot lid and need to get out of car and open manually)
